Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.

With other balls our dog tries to predict where the ball is headed and sometimes miss directs himself. Our games have usually been more of fetch and return. But with the Whistler, Phineas, is able to hear the ball as it flies and is right there to catch it. In three years this is the first time we are seeing our dog jump to catch balls. Also our dog is an extreme chewer who destroyed many toys that were said to be indestructible but this ball is still intact.
My girl LOVESSSS fetch and these chuck it's are her absolute favorite outside! Even when she gets distracted (grass eating, random squirrel or bird, etc.) I toss this bad boy and the sound brings her immediately back to running for it full speed! She's an extreamly tough chewer, in the past with toys with holes it makes it easier to destroy the item, so I keep them for outside just incase she gets a little too rough. BUT she's never been able to get her teeth to even made an impression on any of the chuck it's we've gotten! (Original, rebounce, and this one, all medium).
The Chuckit "The Whistler" is a great toy for our goldendoodle. The reason for only 3 stars is that you can only get the blue one with an orange one, not by itself or 2 blue ones. I can see the orange one better than the blue one in the grass, but I'm not the one fetching the ball. Dogs see orange like a grayish/greenish hue. That makes it hard for a dog to find in the grass. Why doesn't Chuckit give the option of 2 blue balls in "The Whistler" series? Just a pain that I have to purchase two of these to obtain one. I think Chewy could put pressure on Chuckit to change this. That said, my dog LOVES the blue Whistler ball.
You have to throw the thing at the speed of sound for it to even start making noise. If you have small dogs don't waste your money. The ones I bought were the smallest too
I love these balls for my two German shepherds. My dog's are very mouthy and love to chew chew chew. These are decently durable but also gentle on their teeth. Are great for dogs who like to chew but not for destroyers... they can be easily torn apart if that's the goal.
Absolutely love these balls. Can be used for various reasons, including, filling ball with kibble for feeding. We have 3 and they are long lasting. Will be purchase more.
I was expecting to hear a whistle when the ball was thrown. No luck. The squeaky balls are a better option.
My fetch-obsessed boy loves these balls. 10/10 will buy again whenever he manages to lose/hide them somewhere in this house.
Completely silent no matter how hard you throw it. Thought it was emitting a dog whistle but no. And it's only 1 ball, not 2.
This delightful ball has holes that make it whistle as it goes. My retriever puppy seems all the more enthusiastic about chasing it. It works perfectly the usual Chuckit launchers.
