Damaged Painted Window Sill
This protection tape did not work as planned. I tested a small area on my painted wood window sill to make sure it wouldn’t cause any damage and it, unfortunately, did peel off some of the paint. The tape is also not as flexible as indicated in the product description and is difficult to fold and cut for areas smaller than the width of the tape.
Did not hold up to dogs scratching
This product had much potential but completely failed. It took my dogs less than an hour to pull the tape off the door. When they did the paint came with it. I would not recommend this product at all.
Best idea ever!
If you have a dog that stands guard at windows and reacts to people and animals by putting front paws on the sill, get this product! It’s clear with a shine, and perfectly protects your wood. So glad we found it.
Disappointing
I was very hopeful with this tape. Unfortunately I was let down. The tape doesn’t stay in place. I tried using it on the cloth bar stools I have and it stayed in place for less thank an hour. My kitten also “removed” it in no time from the edge of the runner rug he likes to scratch on.
Haven't used but Chewy provides seamless refunds!
I ordered to prevent cat from scratching up my new sofa. When it arrived, the package made it clear it is to be used on smooth, not upholstered, surfaces. Chatted with Chewy and they refunded the money and asked that I donate the tape. Wow. Hope the company can stay in business! No idea if this would work but the website should make it clear it is for smooth hard surfaces only. I'm discouraged and wouldn't declaw my cat but so tired of having to live with an ugly living room. I'm keep blankets over my new cute sofa:(
Great scratch protection
We have used Clawguard Protection tape for years and love it. Do not use on carpet or upholstery as it is not made for that. Nice thick tape that bonds well to a hard surface.

Product doesn’t work
I purchased this product to protect the carpeting on my stair. I applied the tape very carefully to the risers and it keeps falling off. What a waste of money. I do not recommend this product!!
Not as described
This product posts: "...its a paw-some way to keep both her and your furniture safe!..." The description mentions furniture several times, however the package says, "DO NOT USE ON UPHOLSTERY" I bought this specifically to protect from my cat scratching the sofa. But the pkg differs from product description, indicating use on CAR DOORS, GLASS, BANNISTERS...not furniture. Thankful for Chewy top-notch customer service to remedy this issue.
