Can you remove the shield without damaging the door?

The manufacturer has partnered with 3M to provide high quality fasteners with a strong removable adhesive. The fasteners have a strong hold, but can be removed from your surface without damage. With that said, different paints and stains are made using different synthetics and may peel paint or stain when removed. Therefore, we recommend testing our fasteners in a safe and inconspicuous spot on the desired area and test for several days before applying fasteners to a broader area.
How many fasteners come in one package?

The scratch shield comes with 8 clear, double-sided adhesive tabs. The clear adhesive tabs are not recommended to be used on drywall.
How does this apply? Is it an all over adhesive or is it small circular dot adhesives?

This scratch guard attaches with double-sided, square, clear fasteners to be applied in the corners of the scratch shield. The fasteners hold the shield in place and protect surfaces from the most sharpest nails and persistent dog and cat scratching and clawing.

Acceptable but expensive

Had I known that all I'd receive was a sheet of acrylic with no label, no instructions, and no hanging hardware or adhesive, I'd have saved over 50% of the money and bought the same thing at my local hardware store. Still, it was fairly easy to cut down to size with a jigsaw, drill holes in it, and use my own screws to affix it to the area beside the door that our dogs have been damaging. This is in no way a pet-specific product, but has been given the pet-parent markup. Save your money and do a little research.

Will save you so much time and money fixing damage.

Works very well, this is much more heavy duty in comparison to the one that hangs from a knob. I am highly impressed. You can position it to guard your door frame also.
