Clindamycin HCI is a prescription broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections of the skin, mouth and bones caused by certain types of bacteria. It may also be prescribed to treat certain infections, such as toxoplasmosis and babesiosis. It works by stopping bacteria from producing proteins that encourage their growth and reproduction, stopping the spread of infection and allowing the body's immune system to kill the bacteria. Unsealed Bottles
I have ordered this twice from Chewy and both times the bottle was unsealed. When I get it through my vet (same brand, same exact box and bottle), it is sealed. I don’t know who is unsealing these bottles or why, but it is really disconcerting to think that someone at Chewy may be tampering with this prescription medication. It’s possible that there’s another explanation. Since the prescription is for the entire bottle, they should not be opening the manufacturer seals. Maybe someone from Chewy will comment here to let us know if there’s a reasonable explanation.
