Data generated in humans. Plasma levels of tricyclic antidepressants have been reported to be decreased by the concomitant administration of hepatic enzyme inducers (e.g., barbiturates, phenytoin); therefore plasma concentrations of clomipramine may be decreased by the concomitant administration of phenobarbital. Plasma levels of closely related tricyclic antidepressants have been reported to be increased by the concomitant administration of hepatic enzyme inhibitors (e.g., cimetidine, fluoxetine). Caution is advised in using clomipramine with anticholinergic or sympathomimetic drugs or with other CNS-active drugs, including general anesthetics and neuroleptics. Prior to elective surgery with general anesthetics, clomipramine should be discontinued for as long as clinically feasilble.
Clomipramine Hydrochloride Tablets are not recommended for other behavior problems, such as aggression. Studies to establish safety and efficacy of Clomipramine Hydrochloride Tablets in dogs less than 6 months of age have not been conducted.

First I tried the liquid formula which was very greasy and clogged the syringe and actually melted the numbers on the syringe! My dog hated the taste , it was a fight! I switched to pills which I give with cream cheese, my dog loves this Treat and it’s a pleasure to give!
Nice to be able to have the order shipped directly. Not any cheaper than the vet's office.
Meant to calm our dogs separation anxiety, but didn't work. Not Chewy fault.
My cat took it for 3 weeks till he started acting like his feet were burning and wanted to get them off of him. It was very strange. He would lick them raw and kick like crazy. My vet said it shouldn't be a reaction to the meds but as soon as I stopped giving them, he stopped the next morning and was fine.
About 2-3 weeks in Leo, my 12 yr old cat, started acting like his feet were burning or itching like crazy. He was licking them raw, would spread his toe beans apart and his leg would shiver or shake like his muscles were extremely tense. It was very strange. He refused to come in one night and skipped a dose and he was already getting better when he finally came in after midnight and was completely back to normal after a few days. I wish this didn’t happen bc otherwise, he stopped spraying in the house within a day or two of starting it and it worked great.
We purchased this expensive generic when clomicalm was out of stock. Normally I would not write a review but it is exceedingly expensive and reverted our dog back to his old state of fear and biting. It was clear that it was not working. We also have a friend who had the same situation and had to use the generic and experienced the same challenge. Would not waste your money.
This is usually a dog med, but my vet prescribed it for my elderly cat in an attempt to help with some behavior: Aggression and bullying toward both me and my other cat, constant yowling, pacing. We're pretty sure my old "tough guy" has dementia and just all the crankiness that comes with being 17. The adjustment period was LONG -- For literally months he slept even more than usual, gained weight (which was not a bad thing), and seemed a bit dull. He stopped seeking much attention and was more content to be alone. However, the aggression and yowling did stop. After some time to adjust, he is now "himself" again personality-wise, which is awesome. He seems happier, no longer screams constantly, and is more relaxed in general. Some of the aggression has returned, but it's no longer unmanageable and it's easy to refocus him. The extra weight he put on has actually come back off. I would definitely recommend this med! It has made a world of difference in our house. Everyone is less agitated and getting along much better.
I was so excited to see there was a generic available for this, .we have been paying a lot for the brand name and this is about 1/3rd of the price. it works
Same chemistry, easily ordered, conveniently delivered. We saved the bimonthly trip to the Vet to pick up pills and got some nice discounting for scheduled orders.
This is a great product for generalized anxiety. My dog has responded well to this medication and I've seen that he is still 100% himself while just being less anxious. This hasn't made him lethargic at all. Definitely talk to your vet about this medication if you think it may help your pet!
