Only thing that has ever worked!
My cat likes to cry at our bedroom door starting at 4am-ish. After a few nights of using the spray she no longer tries to wake us up! I would spray it from the inside near the base of the door. Just a light push down to trigger the noise. My cat is skittish so I think that helped? I haven't had to use it in months now! It's the only thing (besides another door in our hallway but we moved) that deterred that behavior.
Great product
I had used the spray requiring the CO2 cylinders and they are hard to load. This is just a spray bottle which works great with the same results and reasonable price.
