Defective/didn’t work

I was really excited to use this heater since it had so many great reviews. I bought the 75 watt, as that was the suggestion for a 20gal. It never brought the temp above 73, which is too low for my betta and Cory cats. I thought I would try it in my hospital tank, which is a 10 gal and it was stuck at the same temp. The customer service was great, though. I was given a refund quickly. I’ll order another to try just to be sure, as I really love the sleek design and the lack of glass on this heater.

Great heater, keeps my 10-gal warm

I've been using this heater in my 10-gallon for two months now. It keeps my tank at 78-80 degrees if I keep the setting in the low 80's (82 or so). This heater is very sturdy and well made. The button to change the temp. is a little hard to press, but other than that I have no complaints. Time will tell how it holds up, but for now, it's great!

Doesn't warm my turtle enclosure well

This is a 100 watt heater and I'm using it to warm about 10 to 20 gallons at most and it doesn't get the water above 60 to 65. It seems to malfunction when I set the temp. Within the 70's or 80. But chewy is awesome for returns. No risk, give it a try. I may have gotten a defective item.

25 watt was defective and promptly replaced by Chewy. That is working well in the QT/hospital tank. Ordered a 50 watt for my Waterbox 20 cube and it failed after 7-8 months. I expect better from Cobalt.
