I have had a 50% success rate with these heaters. Chewy graciously replaced a 200W that was stuck on a high temp. The 200W replacement works ok. I have a 75 W that works but is stuck on 74 degrees. Another 75W works but is difficult to adjust. Another issue I have with this heater model is that the suction cups to the mounting bracket fall off to easily. Not planning to buy these again. Nice concept but I expect better quality given the price.
I don't Like this fish tank heater I read over the Instructions a few times but I can not get the temp to go up I need it set at 82 degrees.
been searching for a flat, adjustable heater for my Nano reef. This is it! Finally, I found it. Now, my fish don't have to suffer the heat of a preset and me rushing to make sure they don't overheat. The "reef" life is happy, healthy, and no longer suffering buffering.
Product is slim, uses buttons instead of the inaccurate and odd twist you find on some cheaper marketplace products. It's very small-- perfect for my 10 gallon tank-- and feels well constructed in a way other heaters do not. A great buy!
It reads about 4 degrees below what actual water temp is. I have it set at 82 degrees, but it heats to 78 degrees.
Worked great for 3 days but now it is not heating the tank at all even though the LEDs show otherwise
I'm very happy with the Colbalt Aquatics heater. It is reliable, easy to read, has a slim profile in my tank. I've had a few other heaters and this one is by far my favorite.
This heater is the real deal! I have a digital and glass thermometer in my tank to confirm accuracy and this heater is spot on! This heater alerts you when it is above or below the temperature you have it programmed on by half a degree and is designed to internally adjust the wattage to warm your tank, which is key, from water temperature changing too quickly which is a major cause of your fish getting sick and possibly lossing them. Their webb site will help better explain this dynamic with wattage output! Slim design to fit anywhere in tank! I highly recommend this product!
Purchased this heater based on all of the great reviews. However, it would not heat the tank. I tried setting it at 78 degrees but the temp only reached 76. Then I set it to 80 degrees and the temp only went to 77.1. I called Chewy and they refunded my money. Using my old Aqueon heater now and it is holding steady at my desired temp. Not sure if I will try another Cobalt.
Bought for aquarium, 6 months later the unit has the 78 degree light does not come on. Change to 80 degree and now can not change to any other temperature. Disappointed only last 6 months
