Not as good as it was
Replaced this collar with what I thought was same model. However this on has a plastic tensioner where the previous one had a metal one . No big deal except now there is no place to attach my dogs ID tag, rabies tag, home again tag. Will have to fabricate some type of loop. Just a little disappointed. Thus 3 stars
shocked
Giving it a three star because it did nice while it lasted with my 75 pound pitty but disappointed to see that the metal chain snapped before the plastic clip.
Functional, until it wasn't
This collar worked great. Until my 45# dog wanted the neighbor to pet her and she broke the chain trying to get to her. My husband welded it back together, and luckily she didn't run off. But I never expected the chain to break.
Not for white fur dogs!
My cream colored dog now has a grey neck because the poor quality of metal used on this collar rubbed off and stained her neck. I had to shave her neck since the stain from the metal could not be shampooed out. Not a pretty look on a poodle. Probably fine on dark fur, but not for light colored fur dogs!
Great Collar - except staining
I ordered this collar maybe 2 weeks ago, it has been great! My dog has no problems wearing it, it fits comfortably and is strong, it has helped her stop pulling, but after 1 week of wearing it, her white fur was stained grey from the chain part. I have to start looking for a new collar already because I cannot bathe her every week to clean her fur.
way to big
My dog Moose is a doberman he usually wears a large going off the size chart is what I needed to buy when it came in it swallowed him and wound up falling off of him and getting lost in the yard definitely size down I even had it at the smallest setting and was still way too big overall was a good caller I like that it has the buckle for easy removal doesn't have to be slipped over the head just way too large.
