I am torn down the middle on this item. I use both multi cat and the other from Comfort Zone and they seem to work well when I first plug them in for the first week, maybe two, but then they seem to have no calming effects after that, even when new ones are plugged in. I have to stop using them all together for a long period of time. I think they are worth trying if you are having difficulty with your cat, as it helps with some issues, but I have 5 cats, and we have one that just started peeing, two that attack the smaller cat, so my personal opinion is to give it a try and see for yourself. I will add, it is my second time buying them, as I have a big home and place them everywhere hoping to keep them all calmer. Each cat and situation is different. I also use the collars and they wig my smaller cat out, like she is on something, yet it works great on the cat that attacks the smaller one. I love and use the travel packets for rubbing all over the pet carriers for vet appointments, I rub them on the cat beds and they are great. I also believe their spray would be great in many situations, so I am kinda in the middle, but think they are worth a try if you have having kitty issues. … more

Cat diffuser

Did not work for my 3 cats. Saw no difference in the running and chasing

Innovative

I received a cash back offer for this item in exchange for my honest review. I am so glad to see products that aim to address the emotions and anxieties in animals. My cat is very calm already. My rescue dog has a major anxiety and could benefit from a product like this geared for dogs. That said, this product is definitely a good one to have.

Calms Kitty
By MamaSchmude on Dec 28, 2020
This diffuser I have been wanting to try for a while. We have a cat who is already on food to help with stress since she often gets stressed and pees in our basement. We just brought home a newborn baby and thought this would help. It is hard to know the longterm effects this will have at this point but I know she seemed calmer with introductions. I was able to get cash back by participating in a cash back bonus program.

Odd burning smell.

These diffusers smoke and had an odd burning smell. I definitely don’t recommend them.

Didn't work for my boys, made the girls depressed
By JessicaK on Dec 21, 2020
I used 2 of the 3 diffusers in my dining area and living area. I have 5 cats (2 females, 3 males) and they have all been fixed. Over the next few days, the females hardly moved from their favorite spots and weren't eating as much. One of the females also peed on the floor within a foot of the diffuser. Two of the males continued to pee and spray on the furniture, the Christmas tree skirt, and on a bag of papers on the kitchen table. This is the only thing that has changed in the last week and a half. I'm disappointed.

Not loving it
By Squashbelly13 on Dec 18, 2020
I got this to see if it would help my older cat. I moved a few years ago and since then she’s been nervous to come into the kitchen to eat if people are in there. She also has issues with her litter box and not making it in completely leaving a mess. I have one by both areas. I haven’t noticed any change. I’ll keep it plugged in hoping it will help but I don’t have high hopes. The other issues is that it leaks a little when plugged in. Luckily it’s in tile floors so I can wipe the diffuser liquid up but it shouldn’t do that.

Amazing product
By Linda on Dec 13, 2020
I purchased this after my Alfa cat passed away. The other 3 cats were all out of sorts - vomiting, marking, hissing, and chasing in a mean way. Within 48 hours of placing Comfort Zone in two areas of my home where cats spend the most time the atmosphere was calm. I had one chasing episode that was mild. I didn’t realize all these behaviors were stress related. I highly recommend Comfort Zone.

Male cat needed a cold shower
By Jess on Dec 12, 2020
We recently introduced 2 female kittens into our house. They got along well with the resident male but he'd get too excited and try mounting them. (All are neutered/spayed.) Within 3-4 days he had calmed down and is now content just to clean and nap with them, and occasionally join a game of chase. So far, no issues with overheating or leaks. We use two on our main floor (~600 sq ft) where they spend most of their time together and one on the top floor (~600 sq ft). We opted not to put one in the basement as they spend very little time there. We can probably cut back to one diffuser on the main floor. We've been using the diffusers 2 weeks now and they're half empty. I expect they will last 2 more weeks at least. We used this brand in the past and we're very happy with it. It's more affordable than others and has always worked well for us. This set was a new purchase as we had given away our previous diffusers from a few years ago and I do think they're working a little better this time. We did occasionally experience rapid evaporation and sticky build up on top of the older diffusers. But for us, those issues never outweighed the benefits. They really help keep the peace in multicat households. So far so good with these new diffusers. Very pleased with this purchase. Also, we received them the next day! … more
