Description

Don’t let destructive behavior ruin your relationship with your cat. If something disturbs your cat’s environment, such as a new pet, visitors, moving to a new home or even rearranging the furniture, he may start urine marking, scratching or even stop eating. Comfort Zone with Feliway products help control destructive urine marking and scratching associated with fear or stressful situations.

The Diffuser works by using a heating element to disperse the pheromone into the air. Once present, the pet breathes in the pheromone and it attaches to a receptive organ, called the vomeronasal organ located in the nasal cavity. The vomeronasal organ then signals the brain, via nerves, and a sense of well-being is established.

Key Benefits

  • Contains one diffuser and one 48-ml bottle. One bottle lasts 4 weeks and treats 500-650 sq. ft
  • Non toxic, drug-free, odorless vapor that mimics a cat's natural calming pheromones. This vapor signals to your cat that the area is friendly and safe, reducing your cat’s need to spray and scratch.
  • Reduces or completely stops stress-related behaviors such as; scratching, spraying, and more
  • Helps comfort cats in stressful situations such as: being alone in the house, visitors to the home, new pet or family member, moving to a new home, visits to the veterinarian, adjusting to a new environment or multiple cat households
  • Comfort Zone products with Feliway are clinically proven to help reduce vertical scratching and urine spraying in 9 out of 10 cats in 28 days

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Diffuser work?

The Diffuser works by using a heating element to disperse the pheromone analogue into the air. Once present, the pet breathes in the pheromone and it attaches to a receptive organ, called the vomeronasal organ located in the nasal cavity. The vomeronasal organ then signals the brain, via nerves, and a sense of well-being is established.

How do I use the Diffuser?

A Comfort Zone® Diffuser should be placed in the room where the cat spends most of its time which may or may not be where the stress behavior is the greatest. Remove the cap from the bottle. Attach the bottle to the Diffuser device and plug the product in. The Diffuser should be placed in an outlet that is open to the room. The product should not be placed behind furniture or in an electrical outlet near shelves, cabinets or other physical barriers, which may prevent dispersion of the pheromone. Each Diffuser will cover up to 700 square feet. If your pet has access to more than one floor in your home, a Diffuser should be used on each floor. Always refer to the package insert for complete instructions for use.

Should the product be plugged in all day?

Yes, the product is to be used throughout the entire day. Unplugging the device may cause the pet's stress behavior to return.

How often should the product be used?

To modify your pet's stress behavior, use Comfort Zone® products for a minimum of 30 days. In households with more than one cat, it may be necessary to continue use after 30 days.

How long will the Comfort Zone® Diffuser last?

It will last for approximately one month.

Can I use the Diffuser with a cleanser/enzyme?

Yes, you may use cleaning agents, enzymatic cleaners or disinfectants to clean the soiled areas. Do not use bleach-based cleaners or ammonia-based cleaners, as they may encourage urine marking. It is very important to thoroughly rinse and dry cleaned areas prior to using Comfort Zone® Feliway® Spray. Please be sure to read instructions for use with each respective cleaning product.

  • Hasn't addressed problem areas, but is having a positive impact.

The vet recommended this product to me to assist with my two cats' problem behaviors. There used to be 3 cats, two of them were best buds and cuddled up with each other all day long while the 3rd cat did not mind being a loner or spending most of her time with me. Well, one of the social cats was 19 and she died very suddenly, and so her best bud just as suddenly found herself alone. It seems her solution was to start terrorizing the anti-social cat. This led to multiple problem behaviors such as scratching the furniture and urinating on the rug, plus I could see how anxious and afraid the anti-social cat was becoming. • Awesome for helping with adding another cat in your home

This one is a little harder to show you the results, but take it from me, if you are trying to merge cats in your household, this is a must have. Feliway has several different kinds of items that you can try for reducing stress of kitties in the home. I recently lost my 17 year old kitty Kayla and decided and we just happened upon another kitten that needed a home. While my two older cats were not displeased with their new companion, they were still trying to tell the new one which areas of the house belonged to them. After using it for about a week, I noticed the two females especially were getting along much easier and had begun to play with each other. • Works for Sandy

    By on

Sandy is a rescue cat. She is confined to one room because she cannot be with other cats. Since we use the Diffuser, her anxiety and abberrant behavior (pooping on the bed) are gone. She is very affectionate with my daughter (her owner), no more pooping on the bed and she ventures out into a little catio in the window. Oh, she's still crazy (rubs against my legs and hisses at the same time), but able to enjoy her life.

I'm a rescue mom to 9 dogs 3 kitties that are residents, plus I dog sit our neighbor's dog from time to time and I foster sometimes. Normally there has never been an issue with any of the kitties as far as spraying or marking as they are either spayed or neutered, however recently the youngest kitty, she recently started spraying in certain places, when the neighbor's dog is here. Now we've been doggie sitting her for the two years they've had her and there has never been an issue until about 2 months ago. Not sure if it's because they only walk her or take her to dog park, because they don't have a fenced yard so shes picked up a smell on her coat or what, but suddenly Ellie is spraying I'm a rescue mom to 9 dogs 3 kitties that are residents, plus I dog sit our neighbor's dog from time to time and I foster sometimes. Anyway, I've tried all the usual things, urine remover spray, calming treats, you name it, then thankfully I tried the Feliway Comfort Zone diffuser. It took about 2 days, but ever since day 2 of being plugged in, it's worked, she hasn't sprayed since, not even if the neighbor's dog is here! So in our case it's perfect and I plan on getting a few others or at least seeing if they offer it in a spray! … more

  • This Works!

We have a number of feral cats and really needed a product to dissuade spraying and peeing outside the litter boxes. This was recommended, and encouraged by the guarantee, I purchased one which worked well. We now have several throughout the house and have seen a great difference.

  • Works for my cats

    By on

Helps calm my cats and prevents urine marking. I'd used it for months and then took a break from it for a few months but went back to using it because it makes such a difference for my cats. I prefer this to the multi-cat because it helps more with cat anxiety.

  • Sadly, it didn't work

    By on

We recently inherited my Grandpa's three year old cat, Bob. He is a healthy, beautiful, and friendly cat - to his humans. Unfortunately, he's used to being an only cat and attacks our three others. It is bad enough that they have to be kept separate from the others as they are terrified of him. It has caused a great deal of anxiety and frustration within our house, so I was willing to try anything to help them get along. I was super excited to see all the great reviews for this product, so I bought two of the diffusers, and the spray. I strategically placed between the cats. Sadly, there has been absolutely no change in demeanor. :-(

  • Amazing stuff!

    By on

I was skeptical! But was at a loss. One of my cats is stressed all the time. He worries and paced and never relaxes. He was so anxious that he was making himself pee blood. Vet recommended Feliway before we try medication. He's much calmer and no more peeing blood!!!! I wouldn't have believed it off I hadn't seen it with my own eyes!
