Repeat customer w/ dispensing tip

My cat is highly allergic to fleas. As a result her fur starts to fall off from constant scratching if she does not have her flea meds. This works great per recommendation of her Vet and does what it needs to including keeping my Bella girls fur in tact from those nasty fleas. My cat would not take it either so I took a mortar and pestle to it until it was fine bought some soft food and mixed in real good. If I let her roam the house freely she will not eat it so I put her in my bedroom and shut the door until she finishes it. If she's hungry she will eat it. Good luck.

Just started this product

Just started using this product with my cats. They are different weights so their boxes are different colors but the tablets should work the same. We had a problem with fleas this year, brought in by the dog. Now everyone has been bathed, and treated, including the house, and all animals are on flea meds. I wanted to use tablets because the topical treatments DID NOT WORK. Things have calmed down and we are heading into winter so it may be spring/summer before I get the real test of the product but I am feeling good about it. Fingers crossed.

Cats would not take it

We’ve never had a problem getting our two cats to take pills using pill pockets. These pills have a strong odor and apparently an offensive taste to our cats. Even tried putting it in their food but they refused to eat the food. So spent 105 and had to throw them away. Will have to go back to the topical flea treatments. Still love, love Chewy-this was not their fault.

It works!!!

This item came prescribed for our large Maine Coon cat. I had to divide the pill into thirds for it to go down his gullet, chasing with tuna juice. Within 30 minutes of dosing, fleas were starting to die and it was just a matter of grooming the dead fleas off him that day. Super satisfying! It’s only been in his system a week, but so far we are very happy with the results.

Not for cats

This might be good for dogs, but you aren't going to get a cat to eat this tablet. So, I crushed it up and added broth and they turned their noses up at it. even crushing the tablet, it had an unpleasant odor so I can imagine the cats smell that first of all. I will donate the rest of them to the animal shelter; wasted my money on this one.

Autoship of Comfortis

Signed up to purchase, and have autoshipped, Comfortis for our dog. It arrived quickly and the cost was about half of what we had been paying. Our vet was happy to send the prescription. Will now sign up the rest of the dogs!

Works great!

Tried Frontline and Advantage but neither killed the fleas on our dog. Our vet suggested Comfortis and it started working immediately. Only draw back was the size of the pill but we cut it into 4 pieces to hide in his treats - that worked perfectly. Will definitely buy again. Super easy to order from Chewy and fast delivery.

Lord it smells...

Oral flea meds are a great idea, but the size of these things is absurd for a cat. It smells so strongly of insecticide, I'm not surprised my cats pretty much refused to touch the food I mixed it into. Since they already had a tiny bit of it, I have to wait till next month to try again. I wish I'd known how big these were or that they really can't just be mixed into food before I ordered them. I've gotten a pill shooter, so I'm hoping I can just shoot smaller pieces of the things down my cats' throats. I gave this a two star because of the issues I'm having, but left the recommendation on because it's a good idea and I will be trying again. I will definitely revise my review next month.

Gizmo Hates It, But...

It definitely works. She hasn't had fleas for years. The first time we administered this during our first and only flea-pocalypse. After little success with topical treatments, my dad tried to put this medicine in tuna and she looked at him like he was stupid. I still buy it and try to mash it up into her regular wet food, but I feel bad now looking at other reviews because I've never considered that it must taste terrible! Totally explains why it's still a huge ordeal to get her to eat when this stuff's in her food. I really do hope they find a way to make the pill smaller and/or taste better. My cat doesn't know that it's helping her, she just knows that it tastes gross.

How To Feed To Cats

I've been using this for about 4 years now & it works great for both of my cats. They don't like it by itself & if you use the whole pill into one serving of food, you'll have wasted it, because they won't touch it What I've had years of success with is using a knife or pill splitter & cutting it into quarters, crush up a quarter of a pill & mix that into their wet food. For my 2 a quarter or a half over 2 meals is enough & I can save the other half for next month. Hope this helps everyone having trouble getting their cat(s) to eat it
