    Comfy to Sleep In

    I bought this to replace the hard plastic one the vet gave me for my dog after surgery to remove a lump from her leg. This is bendy enough and the edges soft enough that scratches aren't left on the walls. I also discovered the outer edge around the face is reflective at night with light, almost glow I bought this to replace the hard plastic one the vet gave me for my dog after surgery to remove a lump from her leg. This is bendy enough and the edges soft enough that scratches aren't left on the walls. I also discovered the outer edge around the face is reflective at night with light, almost glow in the dark, so that made it easier to find the dog in the yard at night when she goes out to potty. It does get warm and traps heat, so I don't think it would be comfortable in warm weather, but great in colder weather. The material is easy to clean - wipe with a towel and any messes are cleaned up. The design of the collar does create "corners" when it's worn, so my dog does get the collar caught on edges of furniture and doors when she's turning, but a gently pull will free her and not damage the furniture. Like the plastic collars, there are sight issues and judging of space, so the collar will get bumped into things - or a leg, but I'd rather get hit or pushed in the leg with this than the plastic one - this is way softer and doesn't hurt. … more

    Great idea...execution is a slight problem

    I LOVE the idea of soft cone that can fold up or be firm depending on whether you use the slats. It seems more comfortable in theory. In reality our dog won’t put her head down when it’s on her and the sound of the velcro separating scares the patooties out of her. Also, this “can’t see so dog isn’t afraid” theory in the video...not so much on my pup. Seems to scare her MORE when she can’t see around her. So, we are using it for now knowing that she has to be held while she has it on because she just sits there looking uncomfortable AND we must prepare her before we remove it so the Velcro doesn’t scare her as much. … more
