My crazy beagle is still learning boundaries especially with his big brother. When he starts messing with him too much he doesn’t take any warning signs from my other dog pet corrector is the only thing that can make him stop. So glad i bought it don’t know what i would have done without it honestly. The only down side is the button is hard to push down sometimes.
The other reviews confuse me. We love this stuff. We use it with the command “quiet” and our house has never been more peaceful. Our two young dogs have stopped barking at the mail truck, UPS, etc. In fact, I can make a hissing sound with my mouth and young dogs stop barking. it’s not as effective with our 13 yr old dog. His hearing is going, so he probably can’t hear it.
The pet corrector worked well in the beginning to correct my dogs barking or if my dogs got too rough with each other. Now, they’re so use to the sound, it doesn’t help anymore. It’s like they don’t even hear it. It’s a shame because it really did work for about a month.
Went through the whole bottle in 2-3 days and it's hard to press when needed for a quick reaction. My yorkipoo is not a barker but jumps on people or cries when left alone, I used in these cases and it wouldn't work quick enough to be efficient or quick enough
It’s very hard to press the button down to get the sound. My cockapoo is very reactive and when I need it, I wish I could quickly and easily press the button to get it to work.
This has helped me train my very active puppy. She gets excited with visitors and nips and jumps. The sound this makes stops her and gets her attention. It has also stopped her from licking the dishwasher. Nothing was working with that either.
We use this with our terrier puppy when she is behaving in an inappropriate manner, such as excessive and un-nesessary barking. It really stops her in a very effective way...and then we praise & redirect. We have purchased a few over the past few months. They last a long time and of course are used with discrimination... certainly not for all "puppy" behaviors!
Used to work great...have ordered many times in the past. Ordered 2...ran out quickly because I kept trying to get some "hissing" noise but it never happened. Cannot return since I threw packaging away.
