Keep your pet looking and feeling fresh with the ConairPRO Pet-It Dog Curry Comb. Because dogs feel better on good hair days too, it works by actually removing dirt and debris, while catching loose fur—which is good news for your furniture and clothes as well. Plus, the handle-free design uses grip technology that fits in the palm of your hand, so it actually mimics the action of petting so as not to startle hesitant pets. Simply slip the grip through your fingers and enjoy a comfortable fit.

Pet-It grooming tools features Palm-Petting Grip Technology. Slip the grip (found on the backside of brush) between your index and middle finger to hold the brush in the palm of your hand. These tools fit seamlessly in the palm of the hand to allow you to groom your pet comfortably with a natural petting motion. This reduces the likelihood of startling your pet.
Different coats sometimes require different brushes. Prior to brushing, you may want to consider spraying on a detangling grooming mist, which will condition the hair and make brushing easier.
Be systematic about brushing. Start at the head and work toward the tail. Use firm, but gentle strokes with an emphasis on gentle. Pulling or ripping through tangles and mats hurts your pet and quickly erodes trust. Brushing can and should be a pleasurable experience, so take your time.
For pets with thick coats, first brush in the opposite direction of natural hair growth starting at the skin and brushing outward. When the entire coat is brushed this way, start over and brush with the grain. For all other coats, brush in the direction of natural hair growth. Use long strokes for longhaired pets, and short strokes for pets with short or wiry hair.
After brushing, you can use a comb to remove more of the loose hair. A hand-held vacuum also does a good job if your pet will tolerate the noise.

It squeaks!
This brush will quietly squeak while in use. There is a hollow space between the yellow soft plastic and the clear hard plastic, and there is a small hole in the yellow plastic. This makes the brush flexible, but it also leads to squeaking as air moves through the hole! My dog already struggles to understand the difference between playtime and brushing time. A squeaking brush is NOT helping!
Works great
Perfect for animals that hate to be brushed. My dog (cocker spaniel) will run & hide if she sees me grab her comb/brush because her skin is sensitive especially when I hit the occasional mat but I have no problem brushing her with this. It fits perfectly in the palm of your hand & feels just like actual petting. The only down side is that it only brushes the "surface" so it won't break up mats.
Disappointed, will not use on my dog.
The handle is suppsed to be ergonomic and work well with my hand. It doesn't. it is awkward to hold. Because the clear frame forms a pocket in which the rubber brush sits, it make noise when I brush my dog. She does not like the sound. It is not as sturdy as I would like. It does not pick up as much lose hair as my old solid rubber tine curry brush. I am sure I will find another use for it somewhere, just not on my dog.
Not what I needed
The bristles are too wide. I think for my German Shepherd we would have preferred a soft brush glove-since this one does not get much hair anyway
Best dog brush for short haired dogs
I have a Weimaraner and this brush gets so much hair off of her better than any other brush I've ever tried. We brush her several times a week so that she does not smell like a dog and reduces the shedding so much. You DO have to run your hand along her fur to get it all away from her since the hairs don't get caught in the brush like most do, but it is amazing how much comes off. I very highly recommend it.
nice and very safe brush
my doggies like it very much. because of the width of the short soft bristles, you have to have to use a few more strokes then expected to get all the loose fur, but i have the extra 30 seconds to burn.
Not recommended for double coated dogs
We have 2 Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and currently use a curry comb on them. This one is way too small and ineffective for their double coats. Quality of product is fine, just not the right tool for the job for my dogs.
It’s ok except too small to hold on to it
I guess it would work with really small hands- it is really hard to hold on to the brush while using it
Awesome Product
My dog loves this brush, this was a great investment. :) #ChewyTeamRated
