Recommended for daily use to prevent tangling in long, flowing coats to keep the hair smooth.
Pet-It grooming tools features Palm-Petting Grip Technology. Slip the grip (found on the backside of brush) between your index and middle finger to hold the brush in the palm of your hand. These tools fit seamlessly in the palm of the hand to allow you to groom your pet comfortably with a natural petting motion. This reduces the likelihood of startling your pet.
Save time and money spent on professional grooming services by brushing your dog the right way at home. Follow these guidelines to give your pet the best-looking hair coat on the block:
Thorough brushing before a bath removes loose hair and significantly improves the effectiveness of the shampoo in cleaning down to the skin. Plus, it makes bathing much less of a 'hairy' job.
Different coats sometimes require different brushes. Prior to brushing, you may want to consider spraying on a detangling grooming mist, which will condition the hair and make brushing easier.
Be systematic about brushing. Start at the head and work toward the tail. Use firm, but gentle strokes with an emphasis on gentle. Pulling or ripping through tangles and mats hurts your pet and quickly erodes trust. Brushing can and should be a pleasurable experience, so take your time.
For pets with thick coats, first brush in the opposite direction of natural hair growth starting at the skin and brushing outward. When the entire coat is brushed this way, start over and brush with the grain. For all other coats, brush in the direction of natural hair growth. Use long strokes for longhaired pets, and short strokes for pets with short or wiry hair.
After brushing, you can use a comb to remove more of the loose hair. A hand-held vacuum also does a good job if your pet will tolerate the noise.
It’s a nice brush other than the size. It’s too small for the hand. It’s an awkward fit making it difficult to use. I have a small dog (10 pounds) but the brush is difficult to use. It really does need a long handle to be able to get a good grip in order to use it.
Very easy on my hand

I love using this brush. It fits well in my hand and the handle hooks between my thumb and pointer finger giving me a secure grip on it. Having arthritis in my wrist I find it a bit of a “pain” to use a brush with a long handle and this one fits perfectly.
Loving this NEW tool

My doodle has a fleece coat so there is not much matting but LOTS of LONG hair. I wanted a brush that gets down into that undercoat. This brush does the job. It fits the size of the palm of my hand and using the motions as you would petting your dog, you are brushing. I also love how easily I can clean the hair from the pins. What a GREAT find!
Nice fit for small hands

I have a small Shorkie, 11-12 lbs. I also have small hands. This brush is perfect...like petting and brushing at the same time. My baby girl loves it and it's very comfortable for me as well. We're both happy with this purchase!
Nice and comfortable for you and your dog

I like this metal pin brush, especially the fact it has the pins coated. I don't know if it would be for a very long haired dog. I purchased this brush for the hair around the ears of our Aussie mix. It does the job for which it was purchased. I am pleased with this Pet-It Dog Metal Pin Brush.

My dogs like that it feels like my hand is petting them ;) Does an OK job of removing hair for the most part. Not a "firminator", but a nice brush out!
Really good pin brush

I am so glad I got this brush for my husky. It helps get any tangles out before using a rack brush. I'd say it's his favorite of the 3 brushes I use.
Nice little brush

This brush fits comfortably in the palm of my hand. I have a 60# dog with thick fur so it's not the greatest to use on her, but it works well on my other smaller dog.

We just got a new puppy and needed a new brush. Thought this would help with my wrist problems. Not only did it help my wrist it helped me work 5 mats off my elderly cat without any pain for her or me.
