Pet-It grooming tools features Palm-Petting Grip Technology. Slip the grip (found on the backside of brush) between your index and middle finger to hold the brush in the palm of your hand. These tools fit seamlessly in the palm of the hand to allow you to groom your pet comfortably with a natural petting motion. This reduces the likelihood of startling your pet.
Different coats sometimes require different brushes. Prior to brushing, you may want to consider spraying on a detangling grooming mist, which will condition the hair and make brushing easier.
Be systematic about brushing. Start at the head and work toward the tail. Use firm, but gentle strokes with an emphasis on gentle. Pulling or ripping through tangles and mats hurts your pet and quickly erodes trust. Brushing can and should be a pleasurable experience, so take your time.
For pets with thick coats, first brush in the opposite direction of natural hair growth starting at the skin and brushing outward. When the entire coat is brushed this way, start over and brush with the grain. For all other coats, brush in the direction of natural hair growth. Use long strokes for longhaired pets, and short strokes for pets with short or wiry hair.
After brushing, you can use a comb to remove more of the loose hair. A hand-held vacuum also does a good job if your pet will tolerate the noise.

This was Awkward
By AJWags on Jun 12, 2020
Thought this would work better than my long handled slicker but it is awkward to hold and needles are shorter than I need

Almost 5 stars...
By Gabrielle on May 4, 2019
This works great on my AussiePoo. I had a bigger brush, but needed a smaller one for some of the areas on him. The only thing that I didn’t give it 5 stars for was that I would like the handle to be moved to the middle side instead of on the end side. I would be able to cup it better and brush him as normally I’m on the side of him when brushing and not directly behind him.

Worth a try
By Carly on Apr 30, 2019
This is a very clever design and is more gentle than a more conventionally designed brush. My dog is a long-haired American Cocker Spaniel and this brush keeps her coat healthy and shiny. The only negative is that it only comes in one size and is not really well-suited for a larger hand.

Good brush but hard to clean.
By Poofyturtle on May 19, 2019
I got this for my standard poodle puppy and it works great! But my only concern is it's hard to clean/pull loose fur out of. I don't know if Im missing something but I haven't figured that part out yet.

Good brush for small dog
By RobbieC on Aug 26, 2018
I like the way the handle fits between my fingers so the back of the brush fits in my palm. Much easier on my hand and works great for my small dog.

Too awkward to hold.
By Charlie on Mar 28, 2018
This is just too awkward to hold, it has slipped out of my hand several times. The wire bristles are very harsh on my poodle, wish they were in a hard plastic. I would recommend my friends to shop chewy but I wouldn't recommend this brush.

Pros/cons Item
By MamaJ on Feb 11, 2018
I like the handle so I brought this for my 8months toy poodle but she doesn't like it. Very easy to scratch her skin. Lucky that brought at chewy.com let me return it.

Very comfortable
By RMiller on Nov 23, 2017
I have a goldendoodle and this is great for when she has shorter hair. It is very comfortable in my hand as I brush her and this is very important as it can take some time to insure I have gotten all areas.
