I was worried my dog would hate this since she’s so skittish. She actually doesn’t mind it. It’s also pretty quiet. I introduced it to her for two days by the 3rd day I was able to file her nails down and it was amazing. I’m not really one for writing reviews but I was truly impressed. If your dog is scared of getting it’s nails cut I I would highly recommend this if you want to try a different approach to trimming their nails.
Takes Getting Used To

I've used this a couple of times, and am still getting used to it. In my opinion, it's a skill best learned slowly. It seems a bit jumpy, which worries me, but I think that with more use I will be able to control it better. It does seem to work good, as far as grinding the nail. I'm willing to spend the time to get used to it, and be able to do a good job with, in order to eliminate the need for actual clippers. I've used clippers for decades and it's obvious to me that they squeeze the nail, can cause accidental 'quick' cuts, and are overall scary to the pet. These grinders don't scare my dog once past the initial 'omg, what are you up to now' moment.

Was very easy to use, my dogs sit still and didn't fight at all. Would recommend to anyone who has problems clipping their dogs nails. Works on even the thicker harder large dogs nails.

I have a one year old lab who still jumps and acts crazy even with training. He's got some long nails, and it definitely hurts when he scratches while he's jumping up to say hello. He's never had a manicure - only because I kept putting it off. I knew clippers would be a no-go so I thought a grinder would be my best option. I LOVE THIS THING. It is so easy to do. I've used it once and I think I made a good choice. It's not too loud, and I was worried about that because my dog barks at weird noises (like most dogs). It needed to be a two person job for me because my pup wasn't sure about the noise or his paws being man-handled. I got four claws done before he squirmed to the point where we hadI have a one year old lab who still jumps and acts crazy even with training. But I don't mind. I don't want him to have a bad experience with getting his nails done. Hopefully the next attempt I can get the rest of his front claws done! lol I would definitely recommend this nail grinder.… more
Read instructions, great product

Just got this today. I have been cutting my dogs nails with old fashion cutters for over 35 years. This was so much better. Even with cutting them and fling them once a month their toenails were to long. Read the instructions and took my time. Best there nails have ever looked. Do suggest wearing a mask as the dust does fly. Hardly any resistance from my two dogs. The Lab/Basset hound mix has the biggest, thickest nails of any dog I have owned. Use the sandpaper grinder first and if needed use the regular or rounded grinding wheel to polish. Less time and so much less stress on me and the dogs.

For claiming to be a "professional" grinder, it does not do what it states. The battery operated nail grinder I have works better than this. I have 2 large breed dogs who hate getting their nails clipped so I was in search of a grinder with a lot of strength. This definitely did not do a "professional" job! I will be returning this item.

Love this grinder. I use it at least once per week to keep my pup used to it. Much better than clippers cus you can actually see the quick before you damage it. Grind until you see the little white dot in the center and then stop.

I don’t think the sandpaper last long. But in the long run better having it here than traveling to have toe nails done somewhere else and wasting gas.
