Amazing-get it! I almost have a heart attack when clipping my dogs nails so I’d take them to the groomer to get nail trims. Not only does it add up but my dogs hate it.
I waited to try this bc I was anxious mostly about my Chi Pom mix...she’s very difficult. With this grinder we have both had the BEST experience. I’m shocked and didn’t know she could even be this good (with some slip ups but overall great). The grinder isn’t very loud at all, it’s great quality, the guard works great, and it’s made my life and my dogs’ lives so much better. I still need patience and to remain calm when using it but it’s great. It’s also saved me a lot of money! Worth it.

This tool is amazing! It saves me so much time compared to filing my yorkie’s nails with a file. I was surprised he had no qualms about the noise or vibration. My yorkie has rear leg weakness that is apparent when he walks on smooth flooring. I can’t cut his nails short enough to keep them from touching the ground without him bleeding but I have discovered I can file my way there. Now he’s so much more mobile around the entire house!
Why did I wait this long?

My 8 year old Cattle Dog really dislikes having her nails trimmed but will put up with it for me. Her nails seem to grow so fast I’ve never felt “on top” of this aspect of our husbandry routine... I’ve resorted to manually filing her nails to make the experience better for her and she enjoys it so much better but it is a long process to do each nail this way. I finally decided to purchase a nail grinder to make the process faster and by golly I cant believe I waited this long! My girl can lay on her bed now and relax more than ever during our mani/pedi time and I have the suspicion that I will finally feel on top of her nails soon!

Great product. I have low vision and using clippers on my dogs toenails was a problem and I would often cut them too short and cause bleeding. But using this sander/Grinder I am able to keep her nails short without hurting her. The motor is very quiet and she doesn’t seem to mind it
I’ve found the perfect grinder!

Perfect and quiet. I used a more powerful, loud grinder for the past 10 years and would have reordered the same model if it was still available. I was apprehensive about ordering the Conair and thought it wouldn’t be strong enough to get the job done. It is plenty powerful and much quieter. Most importantly, it is a MUCH better experience for my dog.

This was my first purchase of a nail grinder, and I was not prepared for the noise. There’s no way I could use this on my adult dogs, who get nervous during thunderstorms. It is simply to loud and harsh of a sound. With that in mind, if my dogs were puppies and I had the time to acclimate them to it, I believe it would be much easier to use than clippers.
Haven't used it yet.

My 1 year old lab mix is very fearful of having her feet touched. I thought I'd try this instead of clippers. I haven't had the right opportunity - when my son's home to hold her and the dog is relaxed - to try it yet. I'll update my review after we do.
Awesome Nail Grinder

We bought this for our 65 lb retriever/shepherd mix. She hates having nails trimmed, so we usually take her to the vet. Enter the quarantine. We got this and were really nervous, but it is the best! So gentle and not too loud, completely effective and totally recommend. Our suggestions are to first trim dog’s hair by feet. Use lots of treats! Then give dog treats when you show them the grinder. Then treats when turn it on. Treats when grinder near paws (but not touching). Finally, lots of treats when start to trim. We did one paw a day, took a few days off, and then started again. We just gently grinded a tiny bit at a time, building confidence. I practiced using my own nail to get the right We bought this for our 65 lb retriever/shepherd mix. Also, don’t keep the nail on grinder for more than a few seconds at a time because they can get warm. I do an off on off on method. We hope this works for you as well as it did for us. It’s a whole family affair, of daughter doing treats, me cutting, and my husband gently sitting and distracting the dog. Don’t forget to get extra treats.… more
We’re working on this one!

We have a problem with nail trimming, grinding, etc. This pup does not like any of them, but will let me hold his paws and nails. I’m now stating that this one is mine which makes it more interesting and less scary-what’s his is no longer interesting, but mine is another story. I’m hoping we will eventually get to this item for each of his nails. I think the power is safer and less alarming for him
Dog Nail Grinder

Due to the current Corona virus, I could not take my Lab/Pit to the groomer. I saw this Conair Pro grinder on Chewy web site. The grinder works great, just read the instructions, let your dog sniff it and hear it before you start. Try keeping your dog in a quiet small place which helps and give soft commands and praise. I did her back paws first, waited an hour then did the front. Results came out fine.
