Confidence EQ is an equine appeasing pheromone gel prescribed by veterinarians to help calm horses in potentially stressful situations such as travel, new stable mates, and vet visits. Pheromones are chemical signals exchanged between members of the same animal species. Mares release an equine appeasing pheromone (EAP) towards their nursing foal. Confidence EQ replicates this pheromone, offering the same behavioral benefits in horses of all ages.

Proudly sourced directly from the manufacturer or their approved distributor. Guaranteed genuine and backed by the manufacturer.

Confidence EQ is an equine appeasing pheromone gel that has been clinically proven to reduce stress in horses facing new and frightening environments.

Why Confidence EQ?

Confidence EQ is recommended for horses of all ages. It is used to help build confidence in horses that are faced with new or troubling situations, including:

  • Traveling/trailering, recovery after arrival
  • Environmental changes: moving to a new stable, going indoors/outdoors, new owner/caretaker
  • Training events, introducing new exercises
  • Social situations: foal weaning, meeting new stable mates or pasture mates
  • Healthcare procedures: farrier visits, veterinary visits, dental visits
  • Dealing with loud noises: large crowds, thunderstorms, fireworks, motor vehicles

When should I apply the gel to my horse?

Confidence EQ gel should be applied 30 minutes before being introduced to a new or troubling situations.

How do I apply Confidence EQ?

Tear open one end of the packet and expel approximately 1/2 of the gel on your index finger. Apply the gel to the bottom edge of the horse's nostril (not too deep, or in the mucosa). Apply the remainder of the gel in the packet to the other nostril using the same procedure. Repeat the application every 2 - 2.5 hours, if necessary.

Note: As the solvent evaporates in the nostril a thin, translucent film may appear. This is considered normal and, if needed, the film can be removed by wiping with a wet sponge.

    Works depending on your horse

By temslove on Apr 19, 2021

It depends what your horse needs. Some horses respond poorly to ace, while some respond wonderfully. Same for this stuff. My OTTB gets a nice helper from it. Keeps him a bit calmer and gives him time to settle into new places. My mom's QH it works some what on. It won't take his energy off, but it does help settle his nervousness. Our ArabxTWH it does nothing to. We got some free with dewormer and I am buying more because its nice to have on hand.
