A great tool to introduce pole weaving to your dog

By OutdoorMN on Mar 2, 2021

I had tried the stationary weave poles prior to this. It was challenging to get my dog to understand what I wanted him to do. I could take him through a weave, but I had to go through pole by pole. WIth the Cool Runners weave poles, I was able to get him to understand much more quickly. You start out with the poles in two rows and have the dog run through (no weaving at this point.) Then you extend the poles slightly narrowing the width and have him run through (still no weaving.) Then extend a little more , narrowing the width so now the poles are close enough together so he can't run straight through and will have to start to weave. Eventually you'll be able to have the poles extended I had tried the stationary weave poles prior to this. It was challenging to get my dog to understand what I wanted him to do. The speed of weaving will increase as well. … more

    Great indoor weaves

By Case on Feb 4, 2021

I was very skeptical about these weaves but they have been terrific. They are reasonably sturdy and I recommend them for beginners. My coton got the hang of them almost immediately! And since we can practice indoors we can make it a game. I was afraid the weaves would be too light weight for my experienced sheltie but she zips through them without a problem. (I probably wouldn’t recommend them for large or really driven dogs.) Also they accordion fold so when we are not using them they don’t take up too much space. And they come in a great zippered storage bag. A lot of value for the money.

    Busy Pup Project

By LittleLo on Feb 2, 2021

Bought this to keep our young lab busy and engaged indoors during the winter. It's easy to store and can be adjusted straight or zig zag. Look forward to putting this out in the yard in warmer months.

I have never reviewed any item before, but this one is so good that it deserves a commendation. It is easy to use, easy to transport and works very well for my small dogs.

Nice poles, carry bags not so great.

    By 3kittymomma on Oct 9, 2020

These poles are nice for home use. Not as sturdy as the ones we use in agility class. I liked that these poles came with a carry bag (I bought two sets), however, after carrying the poles out to my yard, I noticed both bags are tearing in different places. Very disappointing. Thus the 3 star rating.

Set up is great! Only problem is one of the poles has a big crack in it!

    Works perfectly to practice weaves

By laurashley on Jun 16, 2020

I love this set. Can be used inside the house or out. The most affordable option that doesn't have to be stuck in the ground. I love that you can pack it up into the case and it doesn't take up much room.

    so easy to set up!

    By pamela06201 on Jan 30, 2020 Top 500 Contributor

As they always say, you get what you pay for. Don’t expect competition grade quality, but it does it’s job. Hope to finally train my dog to weave! She can do them closely staggered, we are so close to having them fully lined up!

    These work well

By nope on Mar 22, 2020

These weave poles work very well indoors and out. I taught my dog, with no weave pole experience, to weave reliably in 2 weeks using them.
