The right equipment for initial training.

By June on Aug 21, 2021

I’m using this with my energetic Cavapoo. It is great that it can be used inside and out because with the hot, rainy weather we are having, my pup doesn’t like wet grass and I don’t like hot and humid! It’s also easy to move. It is spaced generously and, as long as you use the counterbalance feature, I’m using this with my energetic Cavapoo. Nice poles, carry bags not so great.

    By 3kittymomma on Oct 9, 2020

These poles are nice for home use. Not as sturdy as the ones we use in agility class. I liked that these poles came with a carry bag (I bought two sets), however, after carrying the poles out to my yard, I noticed both bags are tearing in different places. Very disappointing. Thus the 3 star rating.

    Great, stable, indoor/outdoor packable poles

    By on

Love these. Very sturdy. So easy to assemble. Don’t take up much storage space, so great for smaller spaces, and they can be used inside or outside. We love keeping up with agility training, it’s also a great way to get in some focused mental stimulation every day.

    Worth the money

Very lightweight yet sturdy. I love the way it folds and unfolds to different positions. Would buy again

Light weight and easy to set up and move around. Good for puppy training because can space the poles apart

    Great for the price

    By on top500Contributor

The quality is great for the price as agility equipment can be very expensive. Great for home practice without having to spend a lot of money. Does not take up much room when storing. Seem pretty study and you can tape them down on a hard floor if needed. I was impressed with the design for the price. They are easy to set up and take down. Assuming most people buying these have used agility equipment before so pretty self explanatory to use.

Great training tool for agility and an easy way to train a dog to weave.

    Light weight weaves

    By on

I really like these weaves. However, I found one big problem the weave poles are very tight when placing in the holders making them difficult to remove. Had to use my old poles.

    Laughter waiting to happen

This was a riot seeing a class of 6 puppies engaging in agility work! Highly recommend poles, tunnels, hoops - You name it. Your pup will love it!

    Not too bad. But...

    By on

Just opened them up. Beginner at agility and my dog is just starting to learn weaves. This set looks great, but not ONE. SINGLE. PIECE. OF. INSTRUCTION came with them. No diagrams, no suggestions, no nothing. Not saying I want a "how to teach your dog to weave" book. But it would be nice to see a packing list, parts diagram, and suggested configurations.

A great tool to introduce pole weaving to your dog

    By on

I had tried the stationary weave poles prior to this. It was challenging to get my dog to understand what I wanted him to do. I could take him through a weave, but I had to go through pole by pole. WIth the Cool Runners weave poles, I was able to get him to understand much more quickly. You start out with the poles in two rows and have the dog run through (no weaving at this point.) Then you extend the poles slightly narrowing the width and have him run through (still no weaving.) Then extend a little more , narrowing the width so now the poles are close enough together so he can't run straight through and will have to start to weave. Eventually you'll be able to have the poles extended I had tried the stationary weave poles prior to this. It was challenging to get my dog to understand what I wanted him to do. The speed of weaving will increase as well. … more
