Awesome and huge!

Fast shipping, (as usual) Excellent customer service (as usual) This dog bed was pretty easy to assemble, even for me and I'm not very "handy." However, do not get this in extra large unless your dog is Extra Large! Or if you have several dogs who like to snuggle! I went for this extra large because the large wasn't quite big enough for my 115 pound mixed breed. He could curl up on the large but couldn't stretch out. This new bed is Huge!!! He is going to love it, but I'm waiting until he gets his long nails trimmed, just in case. The other one lasted 9 years before starting to RIP along one of the seams. I just hope this new one is as durable! (Lol! This is hilarious! I tried to share a picture of my big, beautiful boy, but it says the photo is too large! Haha!

Nice Dog Bed

This is a very nice bed. My dogs like it and will go on it willingly. My major problem with it is that it is hard to assemble. The mesh is not stretchy and getting the last screw started was a real challenge. I ended up needing a second person to turn the screw while I neld things in place. It said to leave the first 3 screws loose until the last screw was started. I did this and it was still hard. Once I got past that I have a wonderful dog bed.

Bed was great, assembly was terrible

The bed itself is great! But the assembly was awful. I tried to watch a video on how to put it together because I thought I was doing it wrong. Nope just extremely difficult to get the 3rd and 4th screws in. Definitely could have used a second pair of hands. I had it in a hundred different positions to try and get it myself and I did finally get it. The second bed was slightly easier, but still really difficult.

Loved by cats and dogs!!

I purchased two of these for our patio/back yard area with intentions that the dogs would use them in the cooler months. Turns out the dogs and the cats both love them!! We have a secure yard that the cats enjoy as well, so of course they'll love the new hangout spots! Assembly was pretty easy, although it would've probably been better with two people because you have to hold in a small plastic piece while you screw the sides to the crossbars.. I managed on my own in just a few minutes though!

Not suited for what it says!

After having it for 3 days, the fabric sagged so bad that it touches the floor so (no longer elevating). I washed it thinking the sun might help shrink it up, and it didn't. Now, there is a hole in it. Says its recommended weight was 150lbs my male Great Dane weighs 125. I ordered Frisco beds that my girl Great Danes lay on together slightly smaller and says it's recommended weight is 85-100lbs my girls together are 210lbs and no sagging at all. It's really saddening spending money for them to not work, especially for Large/Giant breed dogs, as there isn't much made for their size.

Coolaroo Cot

My dog really enjoys his cot. I plan to buy him another one. It was kind of hard to put together. There was a burr in one of the screw holes and one of the threaded holes was stripped. Fortunately my husband was able to debur the one hole and tap out the threaded hole. Then stretching the material to screw in the final screw took both of us. Once we got it all together it's working out great!

Favorite outdoor spot

My JackWhip loves lying outside, but as I have a concrete patio he was getting raw spots on his elbows. He's also white, so got rather dirty. We got this elevated bed as a solution. He's pretty skittish so I wondered if he'd like it or not. Set it up, put a treat in the center, now it's the only place he'll lie or sit outside! Nice to keep him off the hot concrete on a summer day, and cold concrete in the winter. It has stretched a bit, as all things eventually do, but nothing to complain about. Got a medium, he's about 40 pounds and very leggy, perfect size. As some have noted, it was a bit challenging to put together at first, but being an IKEA pro I had it sorted pretty quickly. (It's about maintaining equal tension in the fabric, and don't screw the bolts on tight until the end!) All in all, my little dude Edison loves it, and his girlfriend was eyeing it up too, although she's a bit too big for the medium! Her human has decided to get one for her too.

Raised Bed

Our GSD is 70 lbs. She's been using this for 6 months. It has held up to her running across the room and landing on it... a lot. We use the 'place' command and she goes to the bed. She loves it. She takes her chew toys here and settles down and hangs out.

Okay, not great

My dogs have always loved their elevated beds, so they have no complaints with these beds. But, there are 2 problems with this bed from a human perspective: First, there seems to be some inconsistency in the manufacturing process. One of the beds I received assembled easily. The second bed had threading problems with the screws and the cover was extremely tight. That second bed had all of the assembly problems listed by the "bad" reviews. It took clamps and vises to get the screw holes lined up because of the overly tight cover, then it took more tools to actually get the screws into the threaded inserts. Second issue is with the fabric itself. Compared to a similar economy-brand bed, this fabric is rough and prone to snags because of the weave style. It feels very plastic-like and stretched more when my dog got into it. My other beds have endured years outside in the elements with only minimal sag and zero snags on the bed cover. This one obviously isn't going to be that durable, although it will probably last a decent amount of time. The cover appears to be a standard size so I'm hoping I can replace it with the other economy brand cover down the road.

Terrible Assembly

First 2 screws went in fine. 3rd was a little more difficult but finally managed. Last one was impossible. After over an hour of trying to keep screw straight I found out there was a bur in the post, blocking the screw from going all the way in. Managed to clear that then another hour of trying until I realized holes did not line up. The fabric was very rough & my dog didn't even want to try it out.
