I'm not recommending this because it has been unbearable to live with the odor of the materials. I'm not sure if it's the paint or the particle board, but it has been offgassing for at least a week now. I can't stand to be in the room with it, and the cats aren't using it either. I've been using litter box enclosures for years, and this is the first one my cats have rejected. It serves the purpose of keeping the dogs out, but I'm going to have to get this thing out of my house. Also, it had a part missing, so it's wobbly, as others have said.
I have four large dogs and three cats. Our biggest issue at first was the dogs getting into the litter. The way our house is set up we had no space to put their litter box but in the living room. This helps keep the litter discreet and clean in the most traffic room and the dogs can’t get into it. We did add one of their smaller cat trees in front of the door so they can safely get and fortify keeping the dogs out. It’s fantastic, easy to build (as long as you’re patient) 10/10 am buying again.
This enclosure is HUGE! I measured for it, but it’s still much bigger than I visualized. My litter box, which I thought was oversized, is tiny in the bottom so it litter gets everywhere inside. It’s wobbly and it came with a damaged front door. I’m not thrilled but it’s not like I can disassemble and return it. I recommend that you seriously measure and visualize before you buy.
I absolutely love it! It fits my decor and serves it purpose, while being sturdy enough for my 13 lbs cat! I have had it for 2 months now and did not have any problems. I do not agree with the bad review previously written Keeps my dogs away, and no more litter everywhere! 100% recommend!
Worst litter box ever! Cheap particle board that splits at the nails. This box is super flimsy and wobbly. I doubt it will be able to hold my 16 pound cat. The directions for assembly are the worst. I don’t trust the litter box for long time use. I d not recommend this product. Save your money and buy elsewhere. Now I have to line my cat’s litter box with ton of nails to stabilize this unstable litter box. Even the door is crooked and drags on the floor. The wood creates a lot of wood dust and the screw on nails create a ton of fine metal shards. Horrible product.
Easy to assemble using the included hardware. Door has a a decent magnet that keeps my dogs from opening it, and since the opening is on the top, and the tray is in the bottom, they can't get to the cat litter! I was worried my large, 17lb cat wouldn't be able to get into it, but he's had zero issues. I put a cat bed on top of it, too, so they have their own little area.
