I was expecting this to be a two suet cake holder not 4 or a single brick. Since I made the error I’ve been looking for the suet bricks, they’re not sold anywhere. The brick needs to be square, not the standard rectangular bricks that you can commonly find. I even looked directly on the manufacturer’s website. They sell bricks but nothing to fit this. So to use, plan on 4 cakes.
I think the product is very well made, but none of the birds will eat from it. They are just eating the regular wild bird seed.
Danielle was fabulous. I am very happy with this company and very happy with their products!
Sturdy and hold lots of bird suet.
I like this suet cage very much. It's very well constructed and I do like that it has its own little roof which helps protect the suet from the elements. I wouldn't really say it's an easy fill due to the way you have to open the roof and place the suet inside it can get a little messy and also it doesn't seem really designed to fit the cakes so that they are best made available to the birds. But overall, it's very good it does hold a lot, and I would recommend this suet cage.
I like this feeder because the tray on the bottom keeps crumbs from falling all over. I have used it with up to 4 suet cakes and the birds do fine with it. The roof keeps the suet a bit drier during rain and there are drainage holes in the bottom.
Great duet came feeder - holds 5 cakes - woodpeckers love it!
