They Love IT!

Both birds and squirrels go to this cage to eat the large corn and seed treat that I place in it. I like being able to hand it in a tree so the treat will last longer. When a treat is placed on the ground, it is gone in two days. I gave it a four because the squirrels that live in my yard can open the lid so I have tie it shut.

Big but fragile

These cakes are hefty... barely fit into the basket... but they are very dry and fragile and a large percentage of them broke up in the shipping. Not sure how that problem can be solved...

Large wire feeder

It's great for the large size seed cakes. It holds the Kaytee corn cakes and some of the larger seed cakes. If you're not sure, just take a quick peek at the dimensions. Definitely NOT for the normal sized suet cakes.

Really large for its purpose

This item is well built but the photos do not give an accurate depiction of the suet feeder. The suet blocks sold by this manufacturer get lost in this oversized container. In fact, I doubled up 2 blocks to make the suet accessible to the birds otherwise it would be hard for them to get to the blocks inside the cage. There is supposed to be an oversized suet block made by this manufacturer, but it is not offered by Chewy and I have not located it elsewhere. Perhaps offering a feeder that fits the suet blocks and telling the potential buyers that it is made for the blocks sold by Chewy would be helpful.
