I have a feeder hanging off my balcony. Do these make a big mess?

We would suggest not using our C&S Peanut Nuggets off a balcony, deck, or even close to your house. Since nuggets are produced with rendered beef suet (tallow), you will have grease spots where any of the product falls or splatters when the birds are eating it from the feeder. Also, since this is wild bird food the birds will make messes that you’ll not like in these areas either.

Great alternative to suet cakes

I had 2 Duncraft Squirrel Proof Suet feeders, but they didn't last long. Squirrels and raccoons chewed through the bars and chipmunks could still easily get to the suet cakes. I found new feeders that were sturdier, but needed suet nuggets, so I decided to give these a try and they've worked out just great. The feeder has been untouched by other animals, the birds love the little suet nuggets and I no longer have to touch greasy fat cakes...so a win-win-win!

Love the Bulk Box!

I've been buying this product in the smaller bags for years. When I saw Chewy had an 8 lb. box, I was thrilled! Great savings!!! All the critters like it ... birds, squirrels, possums, skunks, raccoons and an occasional fox. Because of the large amount of birds/squirrels I feed, I put it out on the patio. It's comical to to see a mix of critters at the same time cleaning up whatever is left while maintaining a safe distance from each other. Shame new homeowners are cutting down beautiful oaks and other trees/shrubs that used to sustain the wildlife. Soon there'll be no woods left.

Ships real quick, reasonable price and the blue jays are singing "where's my nuggets? Even the deer eat out of my bird feeder.

Good Price, Great Bulk Packaging

Suet nuggets are a special treat for the little birds. We give them both these peanut nuggets and sunflower nuggets. The bulk packaging is great - less excess packaging to throw away and is easier to store than multiple bags.

Dissapointed with C & S

I have purchased nuggets before, but these were bad. Very tiny nuggets, many had disintegrated into dust. Really poor quality this season.

Great treat for all the critters

These are great for an extra treat anytime of year. They smell good and they're always fresh and tender. They come in a large ziploc bag inside a cardboard box. The zip top is always broken when I receive the bag or breaks by the first few times I open and close it, so I do pour it in a large tupperware when it arrives, not a big deal though. In my yard everyone likes these except for the chipmunks and considering I have about 40 chipmunks in my yard at any given time, that's a good thing or else I'd be buying twice as much as I do! I usually take a bit of seed and mix some nuggets in for my platform feeders so the birds that don't use the suet cage can have a nibble of suet too. Great, quality product and very reasonably priced!

Birds LOVE this!

I've been buying this product at a store and paid the same per pound. When I received the $15.00 off code I decided to try out Chewy.com paying less because of the discount. This product is great, no mess and the birds love it!
