How are perches installed on metal tube bird feeder
Answer by ChewyNov 29, 2017
Simply remove the end stopper and slide the perch through the holes. Replace the stopper to keep the perch in place.

Can I use birdseed mix in this?
Answer by ChewyDec 12, 2019
This bird feeder features mesh with holes measuring approximately 1/3 of an inch, which would be too wide to hold most standard birdseed ingredients.

Can someone please explain how I get the perches inside ? Makes no sense
Answer by ChewyJul 10, 2019
To get the perches inside of the feed, you must remove the Washer (the round disc at both ends of perch) slide it off of the perch with force. Then you will Insert perch through the mesh, and reattach washer. Fill the feeder, reapply lid, hang feeder up & enjoy! This feeder holds 16 to 24 oz nuggets. 3 inches x 3 inches x 11.25 inches high. The dimensions are by length, width, and height.

Will the c&s bluebird nuggets work in this feeder?
Answer by ChewyJan 21, 2021
This feeder is designed to hold the C&S Nuggets, Peanuts or Sunflower.

Great potential

This works well as a dispenser of sunflower seeds, but constructing the three perches is extremely difficult. The rubber stopper rings are too small for the plastic perches. I broke one perch trying to fit the stopper ring on.

Woodpecker feeder

I was disappointed because the rings that hold the perches in the feeder did not fit

Parts mis-matched

The feeder comes with three perches and washers to secure the perches. The washers are the wrong size and are too small. So far, great for clinging birds and squirrels, but the perching birds are struggling.

cannot put together

Cannot put perches in. Washers are given to add once perches are in. But the washers don’t fit so the perches are useless

Poor quality pegs

Plastic pegs snapped while trying to insert, no difficult for birds to feed from.

House Finches love it!

Easy to assemble, blends well - not an eye sore and so far the squirrels are leaving it alone.

These things are great!

I rate this with 4 stars. I find this feeder handy. Squirrels eat some of the nuggets (not much). They struggle to get the food out. I like squirrels but I would rather they are they stay in my neighbors yard. SO...my problem is: the little pegs the birds perch on lose the retaining rings and then the pegs dissappear somehow. I'd like replacement rings to hold the pegs in correct place.

Not very sturdy.

Pros: mostly holds the C&S suet nuggets. Cons: I have tiny and gimpy hands but twice while holding this feeder I have accidentally squished it, denting the cylinder. The lid is not actually threaded on the bale handle and can come off and be lost. The holes are so large that if the suet nuggets are crumbly they will mostly just fall out of the feeder. There is also no drainage or easy way to clean the bottom of the feeder, so a layer of suet gunk can build up and mold. Also, the bully birds like starlings and sparrows love this feeder and will eat the entire contents inside of a day or two.

Great little feeders.

I use these for my homemade suet for the birds. The birds like the homemade stuff much better than anything I've bought, and when I put it in these, the squirrels can't get to it either! I've got 8 of these...4 to hang out, and 4 to wash and refill. Works great.

great feeder for the price

I have 2 of these feeders, & I like them a lot. I’ve had better success with the balls versus the cakes. Mainly woodpeckers but I’ve seen Eastern Bluebirds & a few other friends enjoying them.
