What is the distance range of the tracker from the App / phone?
Answer by rjkleinNov 01, 2022
600 feet

Does it send alerts if they escape ? I’m stuck between this device and the go whistle.
Answer by ChewyApr 04, 2021
The app features a geo-fencing function that sends real-time notifications for crossing boundaries that are pre-set by the owner.

Can you buy the Verizon add-on at any time? Example: If your cat goes outside of the WIFI range and you cannot find her, could you then buy the Verizon add-on and it would it show where she is after purchasing?
Answer by ChewyApr 12, 2021
Cube GPS tracking is a bundled service that is purchased within the Cube Tracker app. It consists of SIM card data from Verizon and geolocation data from Google. We do not recommend trying to activate a subscription after the pet has run off. Without the subscription set up the device will consume battery very quickly trying to establish a connection.

In order for this device to work does the pet have to be in range of WiFi service or does it work off cellular? Example: my pet roams the neighborhood behind the range of our WiFi.

Great alternative to traditional GPS collar

Perfect for small dogs, cats, and exotics. Great customer service. It's not perfectly accurate, but I'm confident if my raccoon escapes that I'll be able to find his general location, then when I get close enough to connect via Bluetooth I'll see the RING button appear. Then I can ring the collar and find his exact location. My raccoon swims a LOT and the collar takes it just fine. I have to charge it about every 3 days. After owning one tracker for about a year, it stopped charging. Cube immediately sent me a new one at no charge. I do wish that there were discounts for additional trackers. $20/month per tracker can add up fast.

Great for keeping eye on new husky puppy

Just got this for my new husky puppy as he seems to like to pull magic tricks and disappear. Works good, only issue I have is the app does crash alot, but it a quick reboot and can usually get the info I need before it crashes again.

$20 a month to use.

Just wanted to list the subscription price because it doesn't show on this website. That's bad business practice. Other reviews highlight what happens when the device fails. Turns out that there are other gps tags that don't require you to subscribe.

My dog died with this on.

I do not recommend this item. It was supposed to let me know when my dog Teddy left the Safe Zone, but the notification that popped up said "I'm here, everything is fine." So I didn't think to check it out. I got the call while at work that he had been run over, we didn't know how he got out or when. Now he's being cremated and I still have the device I paid 20 bucks a month for to help us keep track of him. I'm heartbroken and disappointed in this product.

Works good

Just purchased for my puppy and so far everything is working good and I can find her. I like that I can push ring on my phone and it will ring to tell me where she is

not worth the price

Cumbersome. You cannot use it with any collar, you must be able to unstrap the collar from the connection which is not an option on all collars. I will be returning it because of the weight. Because the instructions say in order to be most effective it needs to sit on the back of the dog’s neck and that is not possible on my animal. It swings to the front of him, even after I’ve tightened the collar. There are great features but also better options out there

Expensive for multiple dog owners

After you buy the GPS unit you will need to also purchase a monthly subscription of either 17 or 20$ depending on paying monthly or annually. I have three dogs, so that's almost 60$ /month. The charge port is not covered with a rubber seal so if your dogs get dirty, wet, muddy etc. You may not have a working GPS unit after that. You must buy a subscription for each animal instead of a group or multi dog rate. The company is more geared towards these units in cars or on children instead of animals there is no difference for water proofing or animals getting dirty. I will continue using this until I can't afford it or my dogs stop escaping while I'm at work. Also the map will always focus on you instead of where the animals/GPS units are and won't let me keep the map focused on them, very frustrating when using the map to get to the animals. Other than this it works well enough for my needs.

How am I supposed to attach this securely to a collar?

The device seems to work as described, but there's no easy way to secure it to my dog. The two slats on each side dont allow buckles to slide through. Not only that, but it has to be easily removable so it can be charged so I cant sew it on or anything. It's a bit heavy and large to attach by the key chain part. I'm afraid to attach it in a way where it might fall off. Kind of a problem.

They don't give you a lot of informations to go off of you pretty much just have to get the app and figure the rest out yourself once I got it up and running it was fine
