Dakpets Dematting Rake Comb for Dogs & Cats

I have never left a review for a product before but had to for this comb. We rescued a long haired cat who gets very matted. At first she would run when I would try to brush her with this comb. Now she looks forward to it! This comb pulls out matts very easily. Well worth the money and very well made.

I had low expectations for this but it really does manage to pick up a lot of loose fur from our long haired cats. I would not recommend using it too frequently as I think it might wind up thinning out their coat too much, but for small mats and periodic use to rid the cat of fur you didn't even know had built up it's perfect.

I thought my dog was putting on weight. After getting this wonderful tool, I found she was just fluffy from her winter fur. She does not mind the use of it. There was so much fluff I could almost fill a pillow with it. My slim baby is back. Thank you very much.

Bravo on this comb!!! I have 4 cats. My Maine Coon - Remy is my long haired baby. These are the pics after I've combed him! In the first 5 minutes of using this comb I had that pile of hair out of him. I literally stopped combing him to jump online to do review. No matter what I've used in the past I've never been able to remove that much hair so quickly AND w/out having it all over me & in my mouth! He HATES HATES his hind legs combed so I struggle often in getting that area done, it takes svrl days of him hissing at me + a few minor scratches (Thank God he loves me) Anyway, back to comb, for reviews saying comb is so horrible I'm at a total loss because it's Gr8! Great for long tangled fur. I use it for getting yard debris (leaves, small sticks, fuzzy things that fall from the trees, etc.) from my Agape’s fur/hair. I really like that the comb flips over and has wide teeth on one side and finer teeth on the other side.

Our long-haired cat HATES being brushed. She will literally run away and hide when she sees us pull out the brush we normally use (an expensive furminator). She has dry, flaky skin so the dandruff caused her fur to matt up really bad along her back where she can really reach (she’s slightly overweight and lazy). We had to get her completely shaved this past summer because the matts got so bad. I saw this dematting comb, and thought “what the heck” might as well give it a try since we’ve tried everything else. It’s purrfect! Got the matts out with total ease AND she actually likes being brushed by it. Couldn’t have asked for a better brush- especially considering the price.

I tried this tool on some of my cats, and it does not remove hair mats. While holding the hair mat as the directions stated, I attempted to comb through the hair mat, it still tugs so my cats were afraid of this tool. There is no way that I could comb through hair mats with this tool since it is not really designed for hair mats. This tool is only good to comb their hair. Waste of money, would not recommend if your cats or dogs have hair mats.

I have a long haired cat. Can get some knots that really are bad. This comb will only move the knots enough to make them bigger to clip them out.

Good at getting matted hair out but unfortunately not for my long haired 9 month old kitten. It left him with a bald spot. Be careful using. Might work better on dogs or adult cats

Very misleading size. Make sure you pay attention to the dimensions. It’s too small to get through my golden’s top coat. It just slides around. Also way too small to brush him efficiently. Love these types of brushes but not this one.
