    Great trim

    By on

None of my dogs likes their nail trimmed and with my old clippers it was a fight every time, used these last night, the grip is great fits my hand perfect and is much easier to use than the old one I have. The only problem I have is they are almost too big for my little 9lb dogs' nails but that is because of the way her nails grow and any trimmer is hard to use on her, but these worked on her nails much better than others I have tried

I've been confidently clipping for over 20 years

These are nice to hold, but about 4 months into my routine on my own dog once or twice a month they became so dull that they pinched his toes and he started snapping at me. He used to "give me" his feet. I'm no idiot..the blades got dull. Just the noise scared him. I've trimmed pitbulls to rats. These don't stay sharp. Disappointing.

Not too impressed. Bulky to operate, cheaply constructed

We have three cats. Maybe this is better suited for dogs. The construction feels very cheap. The mechanism to secure the clippers closed is a small ridged plastic button that you toggle up and down. It takes two hands to move the toggle and it does not stay in place. There is a mysterious black plastic wedge on the end of one handle that digs in to your palm when you use the clippers. I can't figure out the purpose of this. The image on this listing shows that it appears to be supposed to slide out. I have no idea why. At any rate ours does not move. The large plastic white disk with the logo on it is obtrusive and actually blocks your view of the animal's paw when you try to cut the nail. Bad We have three cats. nail clippers

They work, are nice and sharp and if I could get 3 dogs to stand still I would be happy. I only have one that allows me to do her nails.

    LOVE LOVE!!

My dog, Pippa*, gets anxious when I trim her nails, I have to bribe her with treats and such to get her to not squirm the whole time. We sat down to start the whole ordeal today, almost right when I got these, because her nails have been out of control lately. I started with one training treat, and was able to finish entirely within just two minutes. She wasn’t nervous or shaking as per usual after I started. The whole process was fast, easy, and pain free. The little metal guide on them really helps to not cut too far in, and unlike my last pair of nail cutters, these cut quickly, and are sharp enough not to make her nails splinter! I highly recommend! *Pippa is a border collie, approx 35lbs My dog, Pippa*, gets anxious when I trim her nails, I have to bribe her with treats and such to get her to not squirm the whole time. I’ve posted on my facebook numerous times praising chewy. This year, they’ve even sent a handwritten card, that I put on top of Pippa’s (border collie) crate. … more

    Happy with results

My lab pup is completely uncooperative when it comes to nail trimming. That being said these do a great job when I can hold him down long enough to trim. I like that they come with the added file. Sometimes that's all I can do to him. I only gave 4 stars because we have had them about a month and the sliding lock went. They always pop back open even with the lock set. Having the guard is also a big help. I am new to trimming my dogs nails and terrified of cutting his quick.

I love this clipper. I have been trying to clip my cats nails for months. This product was so easy to use and my cats did not put up a fight.
