How many vertical feet can it pump?

The PM 250 will shut-off at 6 feet 5 inches, the PM 350 will shut-off at 10 feet 4 inches, the PM 500 will shut-off at 10 feet 6 inches and the PM-700 will shut off at 11 feet 8 inches.
How do you connect water line to the inlet to the pump?

Centrifugal pumps cannot pull water from a lower level. In order to start, pump must be below water level and filled with water. Unless the air can escape from the outlet, the pump will not start. Do not use glues or solvents to connect the pumps threaded fittings. Use Teflon pipe tape. The pump cover is not designed to support long pipe runs or to correct pipe misalignment. To remove the base, strike with moderate force in the direction toward the pump cover. The latch will bend and the base will slide off the housing. To attach the base, slide the base (latch first) on the pump cover side of the housing. Slide the base onto the dovetail mounting tracks until the latch snaps.
Is this pump self priming?

This pump can operate submerged or in-line, however these pumps can't self-prime.
Will the 250 GPH pump work with the python 25 foot hose?

The 250-GPH model as a 1/2-inch FPT inlet and 1/2-inch outlet MPT, it would not be suitable for the Python Airline Tubing for Aquariums, 25-ft, which has a 3/16-inch inside diameter.
