Too much bone for CKD kitties-- high in phosphorous
By catbuddies on Sep 9, 2019
Some things I like about this food: high in meat and doesn't contain fruits and vegetables which cats don't need and can't digest anyway. What I don't like: It contains a lot of bone..chunks of it are visible as you feed it and cats leave the bone on the plate as evidence. Then I checked the phosphorous levels on Dave's website. As fed phos is .60--calcium is 1.0-- about twice that of other Dave's canned cat foods. I wish I had investigated before I bought it as I prefer not to feed foods high in bone and phosphorous..I prefer that the calcium source be from egg shell (calcium carbonate) rather than from bone. So if you have a cat with urinary tract issues or kidney issues, avoid this one. They hate it
By Sunbird on Nov 28, 2018 top50Contributor
11 cats and not 1 touched it. I hoped since I need more options for rotation but this is definitely a no. The pate is almost gummy.

Thank you Dave for removing carageenan
By Lyllian on Sep 4, 2018
All 5 of my cats love Dave's new Cat's Meow. This one is a big hit and my pickiest eater loves it. She has IBD and I love that this food doesn't have carrageenan like the older formulas.
