Really great ingredients but 3 out of 13 kittens/cats would eat willingly

    By MsChristine on Nov 20, 2018 top1000Contributor

The 3 kittens were kittens I had picked up for transporting to rescue and they were good eaters at home with nice round bellies. I gave them a can of Dave's because the only other ones I had were big cans of pate and all 3 dug in - so that's a good sign! On the other hand, I ended up donating my cans of Dave's because my 2 outdoor cats (who belong to my neighbors and apparently do not feed?? that's the question of the year!) and my 8 indoor cats refuse the heck out of this. The pate texture resembles Natural Balance. It would have to be mixed really well with a tastier brand pate for them to consider eating, which is too much work for me to mix in these days.

Good ingredients but they won't eat it.

By Stella on Nov 6, 2018

After requesting the help of customer service I decided on trying Dave's pet food because of the ingredients. My cats can be picky eaters at times so I have tried several varieties of foods without much success. Once again another food they will not eat. They made the movements to bury their bowls of food such as they do after using the litter box. Well I'm going to be looking for another food with good ingredients hopefully I'll find one they will eat.

    Another Failure

By Sagnitz on Nov 9, 2018

After trying several of Dave's foods and the cats not eating them... I decided I will never buy again. But then I saw a couple of newer recipes.. one with lamb and one with duck... so I bought them. Same thing... cat's only try to bury them... which is the ultimate critic review...
