Description

Dave’s Delicate Dinners Chicken Meal, Rice & Oatmeal Dry Dog Food is designed to help the dog with a ‘delicate’ stomach that can’t just tolerate most foods and do better in a bland diet. It contains an appropriate amount of fiber and high quality, easily-digestible ingredients. Oligofructose is also an ingredient, which actually feeds the good bacteria in the intestines to help maintain a healthy digestive system. Polo (my old man with tummy issues) loves the Easy to Digest food. In fact, he seems to like it more than his "tastier" foods. He licks the bowl clean. This makes me very happy because thunderstorm can give him a stomach ache. Delilah (my young lady who can eat anything), however, is not so keen on the "bland" flavor of it. She'll leave her bowl only half eaten, which is very unlike her (she usually will eat her food, then try to steal the meals of her pack). The quality seems good. There are some tips on the bag for dealing with sensitive tummies and the flavor "bland" gives me a chuckle. Hopefully, Delilah will come around. • Good dog food for sensitive stomachs

My dog is about 5 yrs old and has had 2 episodes of HGE and spent about $1200 in 2 monthe due to her sensitive stomach. I had her on pure balance sensitive stomach lamb and brown rice. That started after I switch her onto this brand. After multiple emergency vet visits, I decided it was time to find a food that may be a little more expensive but has good quality ingredients. This dog food is bland and it has really helped her! Her stool has hardened up from her having dirrahea very often. I hope we finally found the one! She seems to like it, she has no hesitation to eat it like she has with others. Even better, it got shipped straight to my front door, fast! • best food for delicate stomachs

I've bought Dave's easy to digest for my rescue for several years. It's the only food she can keep down! All kinds of tests at the vet couldn't find a reason for her vomiting. I first purchased it at a local specialty pet shop but have moved and getting there is an ordeal. I was so excited to see it at Chewy.com for the same price, delivered to my door! I love the auto-reorder option. I don't even have to think about it!

  • Great for my dog.

Our dog Jack is an 8 year old mixed breed who has bladder cancer. The medication that he is on to shrink the tumor was making him throw up a lot. We would put him on a bland diet but whenever we went back to his regular food, the vomiting would start again. So we switched to the Dave's Easy to Digest dry dog food, and now feed him small portions five times a day. No more throwing up. The thing I love about Chewy is that I order it one day and get it the next. I cannot get Dave's locally, so this is really convenient for me.

  • Makes my dog healthy

My dog has digestive issues and was put on Prescription ID Digestive Health 5 years ago. Well it helped, but wasn't perfect for my dog. He was still a little skinny (he's a Labradoole) I went to our local pet store and they recommended Dave's Delicate Dinners. So I started mixing the dry foods both Dave's and the Prescription ID. It was perfect, my dog gained weight and now had normal stools, not slightly runny. I moved recently and couldn't find Dave's food and was so busy my dog just had the I.D. dry food for 2 months. Well his stools were slightly runny again (and yellow, so much food dye!) he didn't have as much energy, and his fur wasn't as nice and he was a little skinny again!
