  • Dave's Grain-Free Duck and Sweet Potato Canned for dogs

I'm always amazed at this product by Dave's company for canned foods for dogs. I bought it because my dog has esophagitis badly and she's been on a RX canned diet for a sensitive stomach. The RX diet has rice, rice flour and gr. corn as the 2-3rd ingredients, whereas this canned food has only sweet potato as a fiber. I'm absolutely thrilled with the results in her stool, her appetite and the fact that it is working so well for her. I've purchased Dave's 95% grain-free turkey, and it's exceptional as well. I'm a total believer in this product and happy it is available through Chewy's as a replacement to the RX canned. The consistency in both items is almost exactly. The turkey is a finer pate but all 3 are pate in texture. Chewy's always rocks not only with their delivery to us, their choice value and the wide variety they carry. Amazing... … more

  • HEALTHY INDEED

My sister's senior Dachsund who had been on a lifetime of grocery store dry food began to have bloody stools and vomiting. Among other treatment her vet suggested to grain free wet food for the rest of his life. The dog loves the food and in days his symptoms stopped. Grain free, the way to go. Dave's....5 stars.

  • Digestive issues

My dogs have been on this for a couple of weeks and their bellies aren't adjusting to it well at all. They were on another Daves pet food and didn't have any issues. I just changed to give them a different taste. Not doing that against.

  • I trust Dave's canned duck dog food.

My furry beasties get excited and jump with anticipation when they hear the lid coming off. I'm happy too knowing it's good for them and don't have all that crapola as supermarket foods do. Dave's has treated us just great. I also keep my unopened cans in the fridge. It's makes it simply to come out of the can. If for what reason they don't finish their Dave's I freeze the leftovers which gives them a great frozen treat later on.

  • Excellent wet food

My dog loved this food. It is very good for her, and did not upset her sensitive tummy at all. In fact, it actually improved her stool.

  • Good but stinky

    By on

I switched my Springer spaniel to this duck and the grain-free salmon of Dave's because her belly gets bright red and itchy when she gets "traditional proteins," as my vet calls them. With these, all is well. For dry, she gets the Dave's dry food designed to prevent dogs from farting. I only gave this four stars instead of three because I don't care for the smell (but it doesn't reek up the room), and because I have to use a utensil to get it all out of the can. (I'd like someone to actually feed it to my dog, too, instead of me having to do the job, but we can't have everything!) So, really, it's a five-star product. :)

  • This is a high quality product for a great price. My dogs love it.

My dogs eat a grain free diet. Many grain free foods are very expensive. Dave's is not expensive. I fact it is quite reasonable. All four of my dogs loved it.
