Every can in this case was dented or damaged. It seems like maybe these might have been discounted by maker and Chewy passed them onto customer.

Switched from Royal Canin G-I Vet Diet
By bennysmom on May 11, 2020
My 13 yr-old chihuahua had a recurring, mild form of pancreatitis and was on Royal Canin G-I canned food, which can only be purchased from the vet. It is expensive ($4/can) and did not have enough calories so my dog was losing weight even though he was being fed 3 times a day. I was also not impressed by the ingredients. When I tried to wean him off the Royal Canin, his pancreatitis came back. He clearly needed something bland, yet nutritious. So I switched to Dave's Restriected Bland Diet Lamb & Rice. It worked. He likes it, maintains a healthy weight, and eats it twice a day. He has more energy for walks (2 miles) than he had 2-3 years ago. I like that it has 9% protein and the first My 13 yr-old chihuahua had a recurring, mild form of pancreatitis and was on Royal Canin G-I canned food, which can only be purchased from the vet. I do add a bit of water to Dave's because my dog doesn't drink enough, which is an old-dog problem. He eats about 1/2 can a day. Highly recommend. … more

I have been feeding Dave's bland for a few years now. This is my first try with the Lamb. I wanted to change it up for my girl and now can alternate!

Getting it out of the can
By Lauren on Dec 29, 2019
The food quality and likability for my dog seems great. However, the difficulty I had getting it out of the can is enough for me to look for a different brand next time. I appreciate the easy to open pull top lid, but because of the can design the pull off lid has a bit of a lip -which means I couldn't just bang the can and have the food slide out into a dish. I had to dig the food out. Something about the consistency of this dog food made digging it out particularly difficult, too, because it all stuck together. It's not something I would like to spend this much time doing several times a day on a daily basis. If this food came in a different can, 5 stars.

I prefer chicken but the dogs like this
By Lindsey on Nov 24, 2019
I had to switch to this for the moment because the chicken formula ran out on my chewy autoship order, and I personally don't like it as much because the texture is a bit thicker and stickier than the chicken, so it's harder for me to mix it into the kibble, but the dogs like the taste just fine. I would definitely switch back to the chicken at first opportunity, but for dogs with allergies to chicken, this would still be very good. And as always, it's perfect for my dog with a sensitive stomach, he likes it and doesn't get a grumpy belly from it.

Substitute for Bland Diet Chicken
By Nikki on Oct 22, 2019
My Shih Tzu was eating the Dave's Bland Chicken & Rice Formula Canned Dog Food, which was suddenly unavailable. So, I switched him to the Bland Lamb. After an initial intestinal upset, things settled down, and my baby likes the lamb better than the chicken!
