    Excellent choice for sensitive stomach

    By on

My older dog was not felling well after two rounds of antibiotics. She was nauseous for quite some time and was not eating well and loosing weight. I tried just about everything including cottage cheese, scrambled eggs boiled chicken , etc. this was a game changer for us. She started eating much better and helped me get her back to eating kibble again. I still give her a spoon or two as a snack. Much more palatable than the prescription canned we tried.

    Good for senior dogs

    By on

In April we rescued a nine-year-old Snoodle. Apparently, she has digestive issues. We fed her a high quality kibble recommended by her foster family. She became ill and we took her to the vet who recommended a bland diet for two weeks and prescribed meds. We bought the bland food from the vet for $3.40 a can. Our dog recovered, but then became ill again without the bland food. My son recommended that I look on Chewy and I found Dave’s. This food is as effective as the one I bought from the vet, only much more affordable. I regulate her diet based on her stools. Usually giving her kibble and a probiotic for breakfast and Dave’s for dinner. Whenever there is an indication that she is In April we rescued a nine-year-old Snoodle. So thankful for Dave's Chicken & Rice Bland Diet!

When our 13 yr old cavalier began to lose weight, we tried offering her multiple types and brands of dog foods but she showed little or no interest in any of them. We then began cooking her meals every day. After a few weeks, she also started losing interest in her home cooked food. At that point, we were beginning to lose hope, until a friend suggested Dave's Bland Diet Chicken & Rice Delicate Dinner. That was almost a year ago. Our senior pup loved her Dave's the first time we offered it to her and has been happily eating it ever since. We love that we can order two 12 can cases from Chewy and have them at our door in a couple of days, with no shipping charges. Feeding time went from chore to delight

    By on

I have a very old foster dog that has a sensitive tummy. Feeding time had become a chore and I thought we were going to have to make some hard choices until I tried this food for him. I was literally having to chase him around the kitchen with food trying to hand feed him foods that usually just upset his stomach. He not only GOBBLES this food down, but his stools have become firm again and his vomiting after eating is a thing of the past. I cannot recommend this food enough and wish we had tried it sooner.

    Super for Sensitive Tummies

    By on

My dog has food intolerance and has been on Blue Basics for years. Recently he decided he wasn’t going to eat his Blue Basics anymore and would only eat homemade chicken and rice. Because of his tummy issues, he had been put on Purina Pro Plan EN before and loved it, but I didn’t quite love the ingredients. This food, however, is a great substitute for that (with better and fewer ingredients), it’s relatively cheaper, and he gobbles it up just the same. Plus, it smells more like cooked chicken than dog food, the texture is almost airy for a pate/can food, and you can see the rice in it. My dog is a 15 lb. Great food

    By on

One of my three dogs has a very sensitive digestive system and he is a picky eater. He is on vet prescribed food and after a few days he refuses to eat it. He is also stubborn and will go for days without eating if that is all I give him. I started adding this canned food to his dry food and he loves it. The best part is it doesn't bother his digestive system (and this is a dog with colitis).
