Is this also safe for grooming a horse? (Like a face sponge?)

The Horse Sponge can also be used for grooming, we'd recommend checking the shampoo/soap being used if needed to be kept away from eye and mouth.

Perfect for tack cleaning

Great size, absorbency, and texture for tack cleaning. My hunt saddle has pebble grain leather flaps and these sponges clean out the little divots around the pebbles no problem. Also these sponges are still fine after they are washed with soap to get all the old grime and tack cleaner out. My previous set of sponges from another brand fell apart after I washed them. I’m not sure how anyone invented a sponge that can’t be washed, but to be fair I’m very hard on my tack sponges and have a lot of tack to clean on a daily basis so I do need durable sponges. These should keep me going for a long time.

Deceptive picture

If you're looking for an oval sponge as shown in this image, keep looking. These sponges are very small perfectly circular, not oval.

Small sponges

I use them for touchups around the bathroom sinks. Nice size for that, but they aren't very absorbent at all.

Perfect for medicated shampoo!

Got this for my pup who needed some medicated shampoo that had to be diluted. This was perfect to use as it fit my hand and it retained just enough water/shampoo to be effective.

Perfect size and texture for cleaning tack!

I can't find a sponge like this at my local feed store. Everything is either too big or cloth. I saw this on chewy and ordered. It is perfect for cleaning my saddles and bridles.
