Dental Fresh a must have
No matter how many dental cleaning treats and foods I've used, the Dental Fresh cleaning product is the only one that really cleans my cats' teeth. I use a cleaning pad for both cats and also pour a small amount into their water. Their teeth are much freer from plaque than with other products.
Seems to work
I've noticed that my breath is nicer and not as stinky as it was. (My human doesn't seem to mind my kisses as much.). Not sure if my tartar is any better. Have to wait to see my doctor.....ugh!
I have 6 cats, and a couple have bad breath. they don't really like the treats for fresh breath, so i thought i'd try this. it is working.
Smells weird to me, but the cats haven't stopped drinking
My cats use a water fountain (the one with the little flower on top) and it seems to be helping, as my cat with the bad breath isn't so stinky anymore. I'm just glad neither of them seem to have stopped drinking since that seems to be a common issue. It smells really weird to me, though.
My cat's breath is so much better!!
I used this twice so far and already I can see a difference in my cat's breath.
Products recently returned and the reason behind that return.
My cat would not touch his water when this was added and he loves his water.
Put this in my cats water, while it’s true it has no smell or taste to deter my cat, she drank it,but her breath is Still Bad!
This product is good for pet breath and keeping teeth and gums healthy.
Leaves green residue
I bought this brand along with a different one in order to see which my cats would drink. My cats that drink from their water fountain didn't seem to have a problem with this product. But, I have a big problem with it because it leaves a nasty, green residue on the water fountain. When I took the fountain apart to clean, there were small chunks of green in the bottom of the fountain and around the pump. The clear, plastic, water reservoir had green slime attached to it. I had to use a brush to scrub it off but the green slime was also in the corners and I couldn't reach it with any brush or cloth. I finally had to fill the reservoir with hot water and add bleach. I let it sit for an hour, shook it to get the slime loose then emptied the reservoir. I then filled it with hot water again and let it sit for an hour then repeated the process with cold water in order to get all of the bleach out. I then refilled the reservoir with cold water from my filtered water tap. I have no idea what chemical is in this Dental Fresh that would make it adhere to the sides and bottom of my cat fountain. I only used this product twice but I won't use it again and I am throwing out the rest.
Great Water Additive
I purchased this because my Vet mentioned both my 1 year old kitties had some mild plaque on back teeth. I want to be proactive so I purchased some dental wipes, dental treats and this product. Was not sure if they would drink once I added but my female cat seems to like. My male cat does not really drink water from bowl (I add to his wet foot) so I’m not sure it affects him.
