DEODORATOR® ETYMOLOGY
What's in the name? What does it mean?
The name was coined by combining the words, deodorizer and terminator. So, Odors won't be back.
NATURAL AND SAFE
There are so many self-claimed natural and safe deodorizer products. But, are they real? How to tell?
Oftentimes almost all of them contain some type of chemicals. Those chemicals are commonly found in everyday products; for example, toothpaste, mouthwash, and even food. Legally they are allowed as long as the dosage meets the minimum guideline. Still, "commonly found" does not mean that they are safe. Nonetheless, this does not prohibit the most manufactures from using the catch phrase words like "natural" and "safe". So, do not trust the marketing gimmicks. Try to find out what's included and what's not included. Ask questions and do your research.
SAFETY COMPARISON
How safe is it compared to other safe deodorizers?

SCIENCE OF ENZYMATIC BIOREMEDIATION
How does it accelerate nature?
DEODORATOR® is the EBD (Enzymatic Bioremediation Deodorizer) product, the first one utilizing this science in household/pet odor control. When applied to a (hydrocarbon-based) bad-smelling agent, a natural remediation process is activated immediately in any environment. So, it accelerates nature. This process works in alignment with natural laws with no negative environmental trade-offs. Check out this article from Lawrence Anthony Earth Organization to explain the science of Enzymatic Bioremediation in layman's terms: https://deodorator.com/blog/f/how-exactly-does-enzymatic-bioremediation-take-care-of-odor
HYDROCARBON
What is a hydrocarbon in layman's terms? What are the typical examples?
A hydrocarbon is an organic compound composed of hydrogen elements and carbon elements. Almost all living cells such as our bodies, fishes, trees, seaweed, cheese, and milk, are the result of hydrocarbons. Most odors consist of organic compounds, e.g., ammonia. Please check this article in our blog for more info:

ODOR OF DEDODORATOR
I am sensitive when it comes to smell. Is there any smell of DEODORATOR® itself?
Please note that there may be a faint odor from DEODORATOR® itself, which could be like a certain herb. This can be possible due to the presence of natural enzymes and also the lack of odor masking agents in DEODORATOR®. But, once applied and dried, all smells will disappear like magic, as the odors being broken down at the molecular level.
SHOE ODOR
How to kill shoe odor?
Shoe odor may be originated from organic compounds or from microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi. In most cases, DEODOROATOR® will easily eliminate shoe odors as the odor being based on organic compounds. On minor cases, as DEODOROATOR® being not designed to kill off living cells, if the reason of the odor is microorganisms in the shoes, you may find this article useful; https://www.womensrunning.com/gear/shoes/3-steps-remove-smell-running-shoes/
DIRTY RAG SMELL
My kitchen floor looks clean but stinks like sewage after mopping with a dirty rag. Can DEODORATOR® help?
Simply spray DEODORATOR® on the floor here and there. You don't have to cover the whole area completely. Nor no need to mop the floor again. Just leave it. In less than a minute, the rotten smell will magically go away.
KITCHEN FAT OILS GREASE (FOG)
Can it remove the kitchen FOG? How about greasy kitchen cabinet doors?
DEODORATOR® will safely and easily remove FOG on any surface including kitchen cabinet doors and your skin without side effects, as grease is a typical example of the hydrocarbon. At the same time, unpleasant odors will be eliminated.
VIRUSES
Can DEODORATOR® destroy viruses? And How exactly?
DEODORATOR® can destroy certain virus types with the lipid membrane structure. Please read the following article for details:

RESTROOM
Is it effective for eliminating restroom odors?
Yes. Just spray it all over the surface and brush off as needed. In the industrial market, the same product with a different brand has been proved effective in cleaning many public restrooms managed by the city maintenance crew.
MICROORGANISMS
Does it contain Effective Microorganisms (EM)?
No. Microorganisms of any kind are not included in DEODORATOR®. Microorganisms can be effective in breaking down the odor-causing organic compounds. But in real-life situations, they may act like a double-edged sword, which might not remain stable constantly to ensure safety. That is why DEODORATOR® does not introduce new microorganisms to the atmosphere. Instead, DEODORATOR® accelerates the existing microorganisms to break down the odor-causing compounds.
CAT LITTER
I am searching for an odor eliminator for my cat litter box. But it has to be truly safe for my cat.
You came to the right place. DEODORATOR® works great in safely and effectively eliminating odor from cat litter boxes. Also, as you can see from our Non-Ingredients List, it does not contain typical cleaning or deodorizing agents, which may work to serve the purpose, but with side effects.
SKIN/LEATHER
Can I use it on my hands? Or leather surface?
It won't harm your skin or the skin of your pet. For instance, if you have an ink stain on your hands, it will easily clean the ink off without soap. It may make the skin a little dry with prolonged exposure. If used on leather, it may make the leather stiff, again with prolonged exposure, as it dissolves any oil on the surface.
SECONDARY POLLUTION
What is it and how DEODORATOR® does the exact opposite of Secondary Pollution?
When you use cleaning agents or disinfectants, the harsh chemicals should do the dirty work as designed. But, what is happening is that they simply displace the dirt from one place to another, when discarded or washed away, causing the secondary pollution. DEODORATOR® does not cause secondary pollution and also it keeps remediating the surrounding area when discarded or washed away. So, it does the exact opposite of secondary pollution.
STAIN
Does it cause stain if used on fabric like sofa, carpet, or bed sheets?
The density of DEODORATOR® is light and it usually does not cause stain on those areas. So far, we have not seen it yet from our tests, but considering the varied nature of the fabric, it is impossible to test all. To be cautious, we recommend to apply it on an inconspicuous space first to find if it causes any stain.
CARPET-RUG INSTITUTE CERTIFICATION
Do you have the certification from Carpet-Rug Institute?
No, we don't, because DEODORATOR® is not a carpet/rug cleaner or stain remover. Stain removers always contain some type of soap-like chemicals, not safe to the environment in most cases. Because soap is a displacer, which removes dirt from one place and relocates it someplace else. On the contrary, DEODORATOR® works effectively and truly safely in eliminating odor, and also in dissolving grease through the Enzymatic Bioremediation process. It is no soap.
