Mimic your thoroughbred’s natural grazing behavior and aid his digestion with the Derby Originals Slow Feed Hay Bag. This highly durable bag features 2-inch openings on the two broad sides; it’s made of heavy-duty 1200D nylon and reinforced with 108 cross stitches to stand up to your horse’s strong teeth. A fuzzy fastener top closure keeps him from eating out of the top of the bag and the two heavy-duty bull snaps on the adjustable hanging straps can be clipped to D-rings on both sides of the bag to also help seal off the top. An adjustable bottom strap with bull snap is also included to further stabilize the bag, if needed. This bag easily holds two flakes of hay and is perfect for use in the stable, in the trailer or at a show.

This is a great hay bag. The only thing I don’t get is why different colors are $10 more than the black one?

Destroyed twice, too soon

I agree with the other review re: the cheap side material. I was stupid and replaced it with another of the same type. SAME EXACT THING happened. Just ripped the corner out. Going to try the 4-sided one this time. The nylon webbing is MUCH more durable. The two should not have ever been sewn together. Ridiculous!!

Cheap made in China knockoff

This Derby hay bag is a cheap knock off of the Original Nibblenet. This company has copied the MADE IN USA Original Nibblenet which started making their slow feeders over 12 years ago. Buyer beware. Not the same quality at all. Support made in USA businesses!

Side material is cheap and thin. Don’t buy it for a horse. Get one with netting all the way around.

My horse is not normally destructive, but ripped this apart the first day I hung it. I'm giving it a 3 because she obviously got hold of it with her teeth. I liked the size and the size of the holes.

My super easy-keeper QH gelding could finish a meal in 30 minutes- I tried the derby feeder and it takes him 3 hours! the straps on top and bottom prevent all the usual tricks of pushing up and out and the velcro top closure is industrial strength- no ripping open! I highly recommend this product!
