Nystatin, neomycin sulfate, thiostrepton and triamcinolone acetonide ointment is particularly useful in the treatment of acute and chronic otitis of varied etiologies, in interdigital cysts in cats and dogs, and in anal gland infections in dogs. The preparation is also indicated in the management of dermatologic disorders characterized by inflammation and dry or exudative dermatitis, particularly those caused, complicated, or threatened by bacterial or candidal (Candida albicans) infections. It is also of value in eczematous dermatitis; contact dermatitis and seborrheic dermatitis; and as an adjunct in the treatment of dermatitis due to parasitic infestation.
SAP and SGPT (ALT) enzyme elevations, polydipsia/polyuria, vomiting, and diarrhea (occasionally bloody) have been observed following parenteral or systemic use of synthetic corticosteroids in dogs. Cushing’s syndrome has been reported in association with prolonged or repeated steroid therapy in dogs. Temporary hearing loss has been reported in conjunction with treatment of otitis with products containing corticosteroids. However, regression usually occurred following withdrawal of the drug. If hearing dysfunction is noted during the course of treatment with nystatin, neomycin sulfate, thiostrepton and triamcinolone acetonide ointment, discontinue its use.
Talk to your veterinarian about any other drugs your pet is taking before starting this medication.
Before instilling any medication into the ear, examine the external ear canal thoroughly to be certain the tympanic membrane is not ruptured in order to avoid the possibility of transmitting infection to the middle ear as well as damaging the cochlea or vestibular apparatus from prolonged contact. If hearing or vestibular dysfunction is noted during the course of treatment, discontinue the use of nystatin, neomycin sulfate, thiostrepton and triamcinolone acetonide ointment.
Each mL contains: nystatin 100,000 units, neomycin sulfate (equivalent to neomycin base) 2.5 mg, thiostrepton 2,500 units, triamcinolone acetonide 1.0 mg.
Frequency of administration is dependent on the severity of the condition. For mild inflammations, application may range from once daily to once a week; for severe conditions nystatin, neomycin sulfate, thiostrepton and triamcinolone acetonide ointment may be applied as often as two to three times daily, if necessary. Frequency of treatment may be decreased as improvement occurs. Wear gloves during the administration of the ointment or wash hands immediately after application.

My Vet has given my dog the Derma Vet ointment for her ears and it worked great. I recommend this product
Good stuff. Works really well on our little shih tzu. Easy to apply
This ointment works just as good as what I get from my vet at a cheaper cost. I have to make sure I always keep a tube ready to go as my Morkie gets one ear that gets really red and a bit scaly. I use the bacteria wipes and then use this ointment once a week to keep her at bay.
This product is the same as quadritop ointment, which is no longer available. I keep this around for minor skin issues on my dogs. One has persistently flaky skin, and the other one's skin around one eye get irritated. My dog with the skin issues licks her tail a lot. This ointment clears up all these issues within 24 hours.
This is really good ointment for wounds or rashes. We have a dog that uses a belly band, because he doesn’t have any bladder control. He will sometimes get a rash from the urine, even though he is cleaned frequently. This ointment removes that rash in several hours. We have also used it on wounds the dogs have occasionally received. It keeps the wound cleaned and we only have to use it a couple days, before it’s healing up on its own.
It has both antibiotic and fungal coverage. Perfect when you don't know what caused the problem. It really helps my dog with unique skin irritation.
I was prescribed a different brand with the same ingredients by my vet for something my cat had. It worked. When I couldn't get that brand I discovered this and with my vet's approval it is my back up for Animax.
Works very well if your dog has allergies! My dog has allergies that affect his eyes and ears. He is now on a limited ingredient diet and compounded allergy medicine specific for his needs, but in Nov. and Dec. his eyes and ears still bother him (though to a lesser degree than before diet/med change). This works for his ears to address his head shaking.
THIS PRODUCT CLEARED UP MY BAILEY'S BELLY RASH WITHIN 3 DAYS. GREAT STUFF.
Works great on skin issues. Indigital cysts Especially. More reasonable here on Chewy than Vet cost
