Description

Soothe your pal’s skin with the DERMagic Hot Spot Salve. This fresh-smelling salve is specially formulated to help spot-treat oozing hot spots and itchy or inflamed areas, like from allergic reactions or even insect bites. It’s loaded with all-natural ingredients like organic whole-leaf aloe vera gel, sulfur―known as the healing mineral―and vitamin E to speed up healing, rosemary essential oil to help combat against yeast and fungi, and anti-microbial sesame oil to help prevent infections. Plus, it also has lanolin to moisturize and help the formula stay on the skin for maximum effectiveness. And if your pal licks it off, it’s totally safe and non-toxic to eat―although it works best if it stays on the skin!

Key Benefits
  • Gently soothes hot spots, itchy, inflamed skin from insect bites, allergies, or other skin irritations.
  • Healing action from vitamin E, aloe vera and anti-itch sulfur that penetrates to calm and soothe skin.
  • Anti-bacterial sesame oil works to combat pathogens like staph and strep bacteria, while rosemary oil prevents yeast and fungal infections.
  • Easy to use by simply dabbing a small amount on the area twice per day and covering to keep your pal from licking.
  • Made with love right here in the USA and is non-toxic so it’s safe even if your pal licks it.
Precautions

For topical use only. Avoid eye contact. If irritation occurs, discontinue use. Keep in a cool, dark place.

    Didn't Work for My Dog

    By on

I tried many over-the-counter hot spot sprays and vet prescribed sprays for itch and infection. None of these sprays worked with my black lab. I read all the 5 star reviews for this product so I purchased this. Unfortunately this didn't work for my dog. My dog wanted to lick the hot spot even more after applying the product. After a couple days, the hot spot was still red and itchy. I eventually had to give my dog oral prescription drugs prescribed by the vet (Cephalexin & Prednisone) to stop the itch and redness.

    Seems to work well

For the short time we’ve used the product it seems to have settled down the itch. We were worried he would lose the hair on his tail but this may have done the trick.

My dog must like how it feels, because I get the jar an he comes to me and makes all he affected areas available lol. I have use it just over a week a have seen a great difference. Will buy it again. From Chewy of course.

Not to certain yet.. but I think it's helping..

    By on

I certainly haven't seen my lab causing any more damage to hot spots since I have been using Dermagic. Wounds are healing. I like that it is thick when applied. ADHERES perfectly to the hotspot. Major ingredients are aloe and sulfur. Let's put it this way..I am definitely not disappointed. Just need some more time after only a week of usage to make a definite review.

    Happy with purchase

    By on

Smell is good and it definitely kept my dog from chewing on himself. I have a 100 first generation Goldendoodle who is cream in color, so the coloring of this cream didn’t look great, definitely something to use while at home. The product dried quickly to keep it from smearing on objects around the house.

Our Siamese developed a food allergy. He has scratched until he made open wounds. He has been on prednisone without success. We started using this ointment and his lesions are almost healed

My Shiba is always getting hot spots when it heats up in Texas. This salve is the best thing I've found yet for him. Clears up the hot spots FAST.

    So Stinky!

    By on

I really needed this to work. My poor dog has been so itchy this winter and has some hot spots. I wish I knew, before I bought this, that it smells very strong of sulfer. It was unbearable! So we washed him, he still stunk. Then we put his shirt in the wash with our clothes. Big mistake! All of my clothes stunk of sulfer. I had to soak everything in baking soda, which made it just more tolerable. Everything my pup touched (including my bed) smelled really strong of sulfer. We were very sad for about a week. :(
