My 9 year old Yorkie has terrible allergies and she’s been suffering even with going to vet for monthly shots so much money spent I would recommend using small amount and rubbing it into the doggy skin with rubber gloves then letting it air a bit and buying shirts for your puppy it will smell like really strong plant order but wow it works her skin had flaks and red ever since I used it a week straight she has been great occasionally she will scratch but nothing Benadryl can’t fix!! Good luck to all the doggie owners I hope it will help
so far its helping my dog scaps are gone . seems she may have other types of alergies.
My dog has severe skin allergies. I was really hoping this lotion might help soothe her skin. However, the smell is so horrible. I read the reviews, some said it was horrible some said it was bearable. Please understand, this smell is not bearable! And it DOES NOT WASH OUT. So, if your pet gets on blankets, clothes etc they’re basically ruined because the sulphur odor does not wash out. It is absolutely horrible. If there were any benefits, I would never know because the smell is so bad you cannot continue using it.
I bought this lotion for my Xolo, who has constantly dry, itchy skin. It's very thick & hard to rub in but within 15 minutes or so, it smells horrible! I kept thinking something was smoldering in the house but in the end it turned out to be the smell from the lotion! I had some on my fingers from petting the dog after putting on the lotion, and the smell is quite smoky. Porsha's skin feels soft but oh, that smell. It's pretty awful.
Dermagic Skin Rescue Lotion works pretty good. Temporarily relieves my Yorkies dry, flakey, and itching skin for a couple of hours. My dog has allergies and still has to go to Vet for shots about every 3 months. This does help in between visits. Smell is not bad ~but, pretty strong and goes away after a few minutes. Will probably buy again.
One of the best decisions I’ve made was buy this product!! My poor luna started loosing hair due to allergies her skin was very irritated and she started getting many bald spots. I decided on taking her to the vet only to end up spending $200 on medication that did not help whatsoever. Until I came across this product on tik tok. Soon as I applied on lunas skin i could tell it was such a relief for her the itching stopped and her hair is now starting to grow back and she is only on her 2nd bottle! Very thankful for this product, can’t wait to see the final results.
This product worked great for my german shepherd who had very dry skin and a hotspot! However since its sulfur based it left an awful skunky smell on him that has stuck around for a week so far lol be prepared to have a less itchy, but very smelly dog when using this!
Glenda, our cat who licks the fur off her belly, hated me putting this on her. She hated it and stayed mad at me for putting it on. Did it work? I'm not really sure. It didn't get her to stop licking her belly obsessively, and maybe that's because I didn't put it on her often enough. She wouldn't let me get near her if she suspected I was going to put some on. I hope it soothed the redness, but if it did, she wasn't going to say.
I got this on a whim as a last resort, I just can't believe that it's actually working. My dogs belly was shaved in November 2020 for her spay, and not only did the the fur never grow back, the skin turned black. We left it as it because it didn't seem to bother her, and seemed just like a cosmetic issue. Recently, she had some other fur loss issues so we tried to tackle both at the same time. We started her on Dermagic skin rescue lotion and melatonin therapy in mid May. It's now July and I'm amazed with the transformation. After almost 2 years of no fur, we are finally seeing regrowth! The lotion gets applied every night and we throw a tank top on her. Diligence has paid off! The lotion works by first sloughing off the rough, black skin (looks like black dandruff flaking off) and then regrowing new fur on the new pink skin. Yes, the smell is pungent. As a warning, do not wash the dogs shirts with your clothes because this will make all your laundry smell like the lotion. Top notes smell like eucalyptus but base notes definitely burnt tire, which everything in your laundry will smell like. If I have to throw away my washer, it has been worth it!
I'm not sure if it was the bottle I received or just the product itself however it is so oily I had to give my Xolo a bath again after using. It does not soak in very well. I would not recommend this for use on a hairless breed at all.
