Not only does it moisturize and condition, but it also helps relieve itchiness and restores damaged skin. The active ingredient in this therapeutic shampoo is a ceramide complex that helps rebuild and maintain a strong, healthy skin barrier. This is important for preventing water loss that leads to dry skin and also for protecting against allergens.

One of my rat terriers has some hair loss from allergies and over grooming himself, the vet prescribed miconaHex+triz, which actually made him worse, then we tried DuoxoS3, which was an improvement. I decided to go back to weekly baths with Burt’s Bees oatmeal shampoo and both dogs seems much happier and less itching so thought this might be even better, boy was I wrong! Both were itchy right after their baths and yes, the shampoo was completely rinsed off. Will stick to Burt’s Bees and DuoxoS3.
I bathed my dog three times the first week because she was itching so very much. The itching has gone down by 80 85%. I think using the shampoo has been a tremendous help to her. I plan on beating her once a week as needed to keep the itch away.
It smells great and my dog seems to love it. Does seem to help with itching. I originally purchased this for $11 and now it's $16. Definitely not worth $16. Other than the price increase, I would buy it again if it was $11.
