DermAllay Oatmeal Shampoo for Dogs, Cats & Horses is a general purpose oatmeal shampoo that soothes the skin as it cleans. Not only does it moisturize and condition, but it also helps relieve itchiness and restores damaged skin. The active ingredient in this therapeutic shampoo is a ceramide complex that helps rebuild and maintain a strong, healthy skin barrier. This is important for preventing water loss that leads to dry skin and also for protecting against allergens.

Shake well. Apply to wet coat. Rub onto skin and haircoat until lightly lathered. Keep skin and haircoat lathered for 5-10 minutes, then rinse well. Use 2-3 times per week or as directed by veterinarian.
Have been using this shampoo for 5 plus years now. It is the only shampoo we use weekly that keeps our boxers allergies at bay and allows her to stay comfortable and smell wonderful as an added bonus! Love the Dechra line! This one is a tried and true for us! We even use it on our horses and LOVE the results. Allergy prone boxer photo included surrounded by all the things she is allergic to! Lol
Purchased this one at the request of our old vet. Unfortunately this shampoo had very little affect on my dogs skin allergy improvement. We used 2xs/week and applied as directed on bottle head to tail, for 15 minutes then rinse. It has a very pleasant smell and left his coat clean and shiny but did little else for his needs. Our new vet recommended MALASEB (yes, Chewy carries it but it is a prescription shampoo & will need to coordinate with your vet) which for us, was the game changer. If your looking for a shampoo to keep mild symptoms at bay, it's fine but if you need to stop itching and control severe inflammation then I recommend you look elsewhere. It's a nice shampoo for the correct application.
This shampoo smells great like green apples! Cleans well and makes the hair soft and fresh. Works well for my pups, I bathe often 1x week and hasn’t been harsh on their skin.
"Light apple fragrance" smells like a medicinal artificially flavored cough drop, a miserable fake fruit smell. I absolutely hate this and will pitch it in the trash. Scent is top on my list. There are many products that "work" without making the pet owner sick. Should be AERO STARS.
I am very happy with this shampoo. Using this product allows me to frequently gently cleanse Fiona's itchy skin, while leaving her smelling like a "Strawberry Shortcake" doll. Although she does not enjoy waiting 5-10 minutes for the shampoo to "soak" in, once her bath is complete, Fiona is typically itch free for at least a full day, which may not seem like a long time, but it certainly is for her.
Previously, I always purchased this shampoo at my veterinarian and it is great for the skin and leaves the coat shiny. I bought it this time for a very, very large dog and thought if it is for horses, too, it will be fine for him.
The ingredients on the bottle are way different than the ingredients listed on Chewy. This shampoo made my dogs more itchy. I called and spoke to a very nice young man at Chewy about this shampoo to let them know.
It smells like green apples. I use it on my chocolate lab that has allergies.
Our groomer uses this and it has helped with the allergies.
Ordered this oatmeal based dog shampoo for my sheltie , who has been scratching and itching a lot for several weeks. It was recommended by a veterinarian who used it very successfully to relieve a friend’s dog . It has given my dog some relief, but he still occasionally scratches . It lathers easily, and smells fresh and clean!
