How heavy is the cotton fabric? Is it like denim or canvas?

Design Imports Dog Show Printed Chef's Apron cotton material is closer to canvas, but is not “heavy duty.” More along the lines of light duty to medium duty. The materials are 100% cotton though and will soften over time with repeated using and washing.
