12.5 year old English Spring Spaniel is allergic to grasses, various trees - including the many maples here, and mites of every description (I put the dog food in the freezer when it arrives & then store in a smaller container in the refrigerator to eliminate dust and storage mites). She has had lipomas removed several times with one showing cancer cells about a year ago. She has skin tags that annoy her at times - a bit like it would for a human I imagine. She and her brother - a Husky/Aussie mix who left this world a few months ago were on Nutro lamb & sweet potato plus supplements from Dogs Naturally. Switched to Diamond Sensitive formula about 6 weeks ago and continuing the supplements. She seems to scratch much less and her skin is not as flakey. Winter months (it's January) tend to reduce her exposure so, I'm hopeful this will help her during the coming spring and summer months. She has had loose stool several times though not diarrhea - may be something other than dog food given her age and health. Overall, I'd recommend this food to you. … more

No more scratching
By Relief on Jan 8, 2021
I was having problems with a continuous rash on my dog and no medication was working to get rid of the rash. I decided to go with a grain free diet to see if that was the problem. The rash is now gone and no more scratching. I would highly recommend this food for dogs with food allergies.

Gamechanger for Golden
By Momtomany on Oct 27, 2020
This is the only food that keeps my Golden Retriever from constantly itching/biting and her ears from being infected. I couldn't find it at any local retailer, so I'm so grateful I can still buy it--thanks Chewy! The home delivery is a nice plus!

This item has at least not made matters worse. Still searching for something that shows a great allergy remediation response.

This is a great dog food for skin sensitive dogs like my sister's Scottish Terrier. He eats this after he finishes his other food, and this is like a treat to him!

Skin allergies are gone with this food!
By Lauraleighx3 on Jun 29, 2020
My GSD has had skin allergies since he was about 6 months old (he's now 4 years old). We've tried every pill, supplement, and food to get it to go away. He was so itchy all the time that we kept calling him drummer boy because he would itch and bang his foot on the floor. He was on grain free, grains, salmon, beef, venison, you name it. We even paid for a hair test to test his sensitivities and fed only foods that avoided all of the common proteins that he was sensative to. Then I researched and found hydrolyzed proteins, which led me to this food. He's been on this for about 6 weeks now, almost no itching and his coat has never looked better!
