Feeding Instructions

Daily Feeding (cans):

Breed Size & Weight (lbs) Toy (2-12 lbs) Small (12-25 lbs) Medium (25-50 lbs) Large (50-100 lbs)
When feeding canned food only1/4 – 11 – 1 3/41 3/4 – 2 3/42 3/4 – 4 1/4

Puppies: Feed up to two times the recommended adult feeding amount by body weight. As your puppy gets older, gradually decrease the amounts to near adult amounts.

Amount of food your dog requires will depend on age, activity level, environment and breed. Feed at room temperature and refrigerate unused portion. Keep fresh water available at all times.

Transition Instructions

Some pets may have sensitive stomachs and could potentially experience digestive upset from a sudden diet change. Because of this, we recommend making a gradual transition between foods. Begin with 25% of the recommended daily portion of the new food mixed with 75% of the recommended daily portion of the previous diet. Feed this blend for 2-3 days and then change the mix to 50% of each for 2-3 days. Then feed 75% of the recommended daily portion of the new food with 25% of the recommended daily portion of the previous diet for a final 2-3 days before fully switching.

  • For sensitive dogs, extend the period to 10 to 14 days.

Can't get it here in California

    By on

We found this dog food in Minnesota while on vacation we bought a lot of it there to bring back to CA . We can only get the dry here. Our dogs LOVE! this dog food and one of our dogs has IBS and this food doesn't cause issues for him so we ordered it through Chewy!

    My dogs Love it!

    By on

I loved it when I opened the first can that is wasn't filled with gravy/fat/jelly whatever the stuff is that usually fills in the sides and tops of cans. Our dogs have been so healthy and their hair is getting more manageable lately and shinny. We raise Yorkies and their health is most important! I highly recommend Diamond Naturals.

    Trey likes it!

    By on

Our boy Trey, a 22 month old Great Dane, is spending some time at his Pop-Pop’s house and he has 5 acres for him to run, so they’ve been having trouble keeping weight on him, since he was already on the dry, we added the canned, and he loves it! And it appears to be doing what it was intended for, keeping his weight stable.

    Not so much

    By on

For some reason my dogs don't like this food. I tried some soft can food to make it better but not a chance. They try eating the soft food and sometime it comes back up on them. Trying to find a good puppy food that they like that is not made with chicken. As they are prone to Colitis.

    Great but,

    By on

It was too much for his little tummy. So giving a tablespoon and working up slowly to what it recommends.

    Like wet chalk

    By on

This food has the consistency of a wet chalky substance. I had to add lots of water to smooth it out some so the dogs would eat it. I can’t wait to get through the next 11 cans to purchase something else! I may even get another brand just to throw this stuff out!!!

    The Favorite

    By on

I switched my dogs to Diamond Naturals because of the "grain free is bad" studies. Took some trial and error but I think this beef one is the favorite. They don't make beef in the kibble for small dogs so they picked chicken but I wish beef would be available.

Needed a food that had beef and not chicken . Have a dog with food allergies so this product was helpful.
